How long did it take for you to get a call back from a job about an application. I turned 3 in, one to Mcdonalds, one to subway and the other to wegmans but when i called wegmans they said that they call you and i heard i was always suppose to call a job and not expect them to call. Anyways last year i turned an application into Wendy's and i was highly recomended by a head teacher at my school and they didn't even call me back. I don't know why it's so easy for some other kid who doesn't even take his job seriously to get a job when i would be faithful to a job and i still can't get one.For People who have jobs ?
Hi Robinson
Call and ask to speak to the manager and even if the manager says they will call, you call back ...it keeps your name in their mind and lets them know you want to work. Don't worry about feeling like a pest...this is your job and money you need to earn, go in feeling like this is already your job and you own it! If you do not get the job then it is their loss.
I know what you mean about people who don't care getting the jobs...seems like that happens all over the place. Stick it out though, and the right job for you will come along and when you get some experience you can change jobs, if you are not crazy about that one.
Have a great day!For People who have jobs ?
After you turn your application in, call them in a few days and ask about it. That'll help them see that you are serious about it.
Well you were correct in contacting the employer. Most of the times, if you don't contact them, they won't even know you exist. All you do is call to check the status of an application..Ask to speak to a manager, because if it is a regular crew member, they are not going to give you accurate info. Good Luck! For People who have jobs ?
Right now not many places are looking to hire. You are absolutely correct in calling them back. It shows that you are interested in the job. I would say to turn in even more applications though.
If you don't get a call within two months, I'd suggest you reapply. I turned in my App to a local video store, who only hires three people at a time, and I got lucky cause one of the girls working was graduating and put in her two week notice that she was going to quit. So I got a call right away. Be persistent and make yourself stand out.For People who have jobs ?
In my experience it's who you know, not what you know.
Ask around by word of mouth, family friends etc if they know of any jobs going. I know many jobs that have been taken by people jumping to the front of the line because they knew someone that worked at a place and that person got them an interview.
the problem here is that you sent in an job application trough internet or phone, you have to go to the place your self and ask the man in charge there and hope for the best.
Many places aren't hiring, but you should call them back. It may also help to go in person and try to talk to the hiring manager. In the mean time, keep applying at other places. Good Luck!!
i as looking for a job about a year ago. i turned in at least 8 applications and not a single one called me back. the job i have now i got because i knew somebody.
I've applied for Mc'd's in the past and it takes about 1 or 2 weeks for a call back. Sorry about your frustration. We've all been through that. Wont hire without experience, but won't give you experience. Hang in there and don't give up.

Spanish Translation Help! 10 points for best answer?
Please read the description before thinking it is too long!! I had to watch a video in Spanish and write a summary on it. I listened to the video, and then wrote a summary in English. I believe that my translation is a good one, but my Spanish speaking friend says that it is wrong. Can someone tell me whose is better for me to submit to my teacher?
English:The narrator is talking about an application that is available for smart phones. The application uses the phone camera and internal global positioning system to give information on things that are in front of you. For example, he took a picture of the Bush House Building and Wikipedia found information on it. He says that there are dozens of apps similar to this for smart phones. Some of these include applications for tourists, and some can help them find the nearest subway station. He says that some critics say that the technology is useless because it inhibits people from experiencing things first hand. At the end he talks about an application that lets you use your phone camera, and it recognizes the photograph of the face and looks for social networking sites that they have. You can then become friends with them right then and there. Last but not least he said that privacy will be the number one thing that will cause controversy in the future. I think these smart phone apps are very useful and will be important in the future.

LGBT:Do colleges really care about this?
Okay, I've been working at Subway for a little over a year now and its my first job. I heard that it looks good on a college application to have a job for a while. But, I want to know how much that matters and will it stand out on my application. (My grades and extra circulars are great so I'm not too worried, just curious.) Thanks.LGBT:Do colleges really care about this?
Usually the higher competitive schools think about it, but if your grades are good and you have no records or anything, it probably shouldn't matter.
If it does matter, then screw them. e.eLGBT:Do colleges really care about this?
They mostly only care about that sort of thing in very competitive schools where there are very few spots and many, many applicants. Your extra-curricular activities would distinguish you from the other applicants who have similar grades and test scores to you.LGBT:Do colleges really care about this?

McDonald's Interview Today?
I am 15. I realized that I really don't want to have to clean their windows and trim hedges and stuff. I just want to work on the regiter or drive thru. When I was there filling out the application, a worker asked me why i would want to work there. Also, every time I go there, the employees seem so depressed and very busy. I think I would rather work at Subway. Should I go?McDonald's Interview Today?

I need help getting this job!?
So, I have applied for a job at walmart and at subway. As a teen, I figured this was a relatively easy way to make money. I have applied a few days ago and didn't hear anything back yet. Is it proper to call the company to see if my application was received? Also, if I do call, what should I say to them? Any suggestions are helpful; especially if you work there! Thanks.I need help getting this job!?
I wouldn't recommend calling to follow up on the status of your application, because the likely hood they will tell you anything is not much.
What you may want to do is call and state that you have excellent customer service skills, and you'd like to know how long it will be before they will be screening applications.
I am in HR and I never give people status updates. But I will tell them when I am screening, and IF they are qualified when they could expect to hear from me.I need help getting this job!?
Yes. Following up on an application is perfectly acceptable.
Say you are interested in the position and would like to know about the status of your application
or
You are so excited about the opportunity to work for such a great company that you wanted to follow up with them.
Just be sure to be courteous and friendly while you talk with anyone who answers the phone there. Good luck getting the job!I need help getting this job!?

I need help finding a job?
Well I'm 16 and I'm looking for my first job here in New York. I applied yesterday online to Best Buy, Target, Dunkin' Donuts, and Subway. I heard bad things, however, about how the online applications work and how they're basically rigged. How long should I wait for a call? I need my job by the start of June or July since I'm need of money badly right now and would like something to do over the summer other than the "usual". Should I go around town and ask if stores are hiring, or call instead to see if they received my application? And if so, how should I ask/what should i say? Sorry for all the questions, as you can tell, I'm a bit worried.I need help finding a job?
The online applications aren't rigged, but if you don't have any prior experience, they'll hire people with experience before they hire you. You could call them once but don't be a pest, if you call more than one time they'll get irritated with you.
You should go to your local unemployment office. They usually have work counselors there who can help guide you to your first job.
The best way for a young person like yourself to get a job is to talk to adults you know, see if they know anyone and if they would recommend you. If you don't have experience, a personal recommendation will get you in the door.
Good luck!I need help finding a job?
Well, if that's your first job maybe you should try this site about New York trainee jobs.I need help finding a job?
The best way these days to find a retail or fast food job is to visit the stores in person before you submit your online job application. That way you make personal contact with the people who are hoping to have their company find someone worthy of the job openings and it gives you a chance to network with these people. If you call after applying it won't do you any good unless it's a franchise owned business like Mcdonalds or Subway.
Get dressed in decent clothing, visit the store of your choice and ask to speak to the manager. Be polite and tell the person that you are hoping to be considered for an open position and you wanted to meet with them before you applied. Ask them straight up if there is anything you can do to give yourself a better chance at getting hired. thank them for their time and let them know you will be applying online and following up on your application thereafter.

Help with my CV? please (:?
ok im a 16year old boy and i want to try and get a job at subway and i need to copy and paste a CV into the online application form ive never done this before and don't know what kind of things i should put in a CV for a job like this so if anybody on here could help me i would appreciate it veeery much :DHelp with my CV? please (:?
1. Name and Contact Details
These should be written clearly at the top of the document. This means recruiters can easily add their own details to send to employers without disrupting your original format.
Remember to give a good impression, include your full name and try to include a professional sounding email address without any abbreviations or joke nicknames.
2. A summary section
This needs to be fact based, not subjective waffle like “I am a dynamic team player”. State what your core experience has been, what industry you have operated in and if relevant the customers you have responsibility for.
3. Skill Set
This should be short and too the point, for example extensive knowledge of computer software packages, articulate, excellent interpersonal skills, customer focused, good attention to detail (look at the criteria on the job spec for ideas and match it to you.
4. Career History
Reverse chronological order. Most recent first. Give the years and months, your job title and then the company name.
Then underneath this, give a line or two about the company, what it makes or service it provides, the turnover and number of employees . This gives your role context.
Bullet point your responsibilities and achievements. This is the most important element of your CV, if you have NO work experience concentrate on your Skill Set, education and summary.
Repeat the above steps for each of your roles, if each of your roles has been a step up then you can give them less weight/space on your CV by only including any relevant highlights.
4. Education
Put education at the end. The qualification, year and awarding body should suffice. If you feel a particular module or study is relevant to the position you can include it if you so wish. You will not need to list A-Levels or GCSE’S unless these are listed in the criteria of the role.
5. Interests
Unless you do something particularly interesting or have some sporting or artistic achievement feel free to leave this section out rather than write that you like socialising with friends, long walks with your dog and reading romantic novels. Remember you are trying to make yourself stand out from the other candidates.
6. Referees
Finally include a line that informs the reader referees will be available upon request.
Employers will be looking for reliable, trustworthy, customer focused individuals that are outgoing and want to do well, develop and learn skills usefull to their company ie food Hygiene, customer excellence standards.
Concentrate on buzz words similar to those in a job description for subway it is POSITIVE, THRIVE IN A BUSY ENVIRONMENT, Work as part of a team, follow procedures, customer focused, customer satisfaction. If you can mention something about health and safely or Hygiene all the better. DO NOT add photos or weird font.Help with my CV? please (:?

Hi,
Filling an application form online is not hard. All you need to put in is the right information in right place. Application for is nothing other than the information you are giving to potential employer. So, it need to clearly state what makes you suitable to position you are applying for as the application form is only information your potential employer has about you. Based on the information in the application, the most suitable candidate will be interviewed.
It consists of person details, which I assume you won't have problem to fill in. Then, the next section will be qualification, which you can place it in chronological order, the latest first. Then, there will be employment history section. Since you are only 16 years old, I am assuming you don't have any work history. In this section you can insert "NA" or "Not Applicable" or "None." If you had done any volunteer work, you can insert it here. Do not put in fake things, put it honestly. Next section will be reference section where you can put the name of person and designation (can be from your college) who can say something good about you if in case they are contacted to know about you. While putting the names of reference, you contact the person you want to put in and ask permission.
Hope it works for you and good luck with your job hunt!!Help with my CV? please (:?

What's a job that a sixteen year old should get?
I'm sixteen and i've never had a job before. I'm thinking about working at Winn Dixie, Subway, or this grocery store called LaBlance Payless.
What's it like working as a cashier or bag girl. What about subway? Anymore ideas?
I mainly need the money to help my mom out with bills and my sister and I need school supplies and Uniforms. I'd like a job that will look good on my college applications, but would also pay enough to assist my mom in what ever financial situtation she may be having.
I want to keep the job throughout my Junior year of High School too.
Where did you work for your first job and what was it like?
Oh, i live in Louisiana. I need places that are close by.
I'd also like to work where i can get benefits like an employee's discount. What's a job that a sixteen year old should get?
Bless you for wanting to help out.
Being a cashier or a bag person means that you'll have to put up with the public, who can be a little unreasonable at times. The best thing to do is to go along with them, don't argue, and they'll go away.
I'm in Illinois so I can't help you with any specific locations, but I hope this advice helps you. Good luck to you sweetheart. What's a job that a sixteen year old should get?
Publix is one of the few companies who offer benefits to part-time employees. Constantly rated in the Forbes top 50 of best companies to work for. Good luck.
Ps-have your mom check with Department of Family services to see if y'all qualify for free/low cost healthcare.
Try applying to your County offices, sub offices for after school and summer work. You can start by filing and work your way into more responsibilities according to your skills.

Another option, if you have an indoor pool in your area, get certified for Lifesaving and be a Guard year round. No discounts though, sorry. What's a job that a sixteen year old should get?
When I was your age, I worked at McDonald's.
It sucked!!
Go for the grocery store.
My first job was working at the grocery store as a cashier. If you work for the right store and they treat you nice, its fun! I had to quit my store because they kept cutting hours! Then while I was working my one job, during the easter and christmas holiday I would do the bunny or santa booths in the mall, taking pictures and putting the kids on the laps. It was fun, if you like kids! Then I worked at a clothing store, that was my favorite job out of them all, but I had to leave because I had to concentrate on school. When I worked there I got 50% off anything in that store, then other stores at the outlets would give me something off, also the sister stores of my store that I worked at would give me 30% off. Good Luck! What's a job that a sixteen year old should get?
When I was sixteen, I started working at a sub shop. (Not Subway, but similar) I found it was quite nice. I'm not sure if Subway gets you a discount, but I'm guessing you would, and free food is always good.
I also have a couple friends who started at McDonald's at age 16, and they enjoyed it.
One of my friends got a job as a seating hostess at a restaurant.
First job was in a kitchen at a golf course when I was 15....suxs!! Then a grocery store, bag boy and cart collector, not bad except in the winter....gettin carts in the snow is no fun. Then Media Play as a cashier, this was awesome, discount on books/movies/music/games. Good stuff....try for a cashiers job, usually pays a little more, and it is not hard at all.
Yardwork like mowing lawns or pulling weeds.
Good for you!
Where I live, in Central Pennsylvania, a lot of the high school kids around your age work as camp counselors or lifeguards in the summer. No employee's discount, though!
Good luck in your quest.

I'm Trying To Find A Job, But I Don't Have References...?
What can I do?
Nobody wants to hire someone without references... but I really need a job! I'm getting cut off from everything until I get one, and I really want to move out of my parent's house. I'm 20 by the way.
I have work experience, but I haven't spoken to anybody from my previous jobs in almost a year.
My first job was a teaching job at a high school in another city. I taught their marching band program, so it was technically a seasonal job.
My second job was a seasonal position at JCPenney, which I got laid off from after the holidays. I have gone back there and re-applied several times, but they never contacted me for another interview (my most recent re-application was mid-November).
My third job was at Subway, but I quit after a month because my manager yelled at me so much for no reason (he liked yelling at the new people, and he even made me cry during my shift one night after insulting me in front of everyone).
I'm trying to find another job, hopefully a full-time job. It's just really difficult to do so without any good references. I'm also trying to stay away from anything food-oriented. My experience at Subway scarred me for life. :(
Any advice?I'm Trying To Find A Job, But I Don't Have References...?
You might want to start volunteering at a community organization that interests you in order to make connections with people who may be able to help you find work. While you're volunteering you'll also gain work experience and may be able to gain a potential reference. Feel free to check out my job blog!
Best of luck to you!

If you left on good terms at Jcpenney and the teaching job use them and call and give them a heads up or if you were friends with any co workers. Dont even put subway on it for they wont give you a good reference at all, in other words dont even put it on your resume.
good luck

First job etiquette?
This summer i will be applying for my first job and im pretty freaked.
I will be appliying at such places as starbucks, subway, possibly mcdonalds, safeway, and tim hortons.
What kind of things should i wear to look respected but still be comfortable since its crazy hot where i live?
Also, what kinds of questions should i be prepared for?
How should i act during the interveiw and handing in the application?
Should i hand in my resume right away with the application? or should i ask if they'd like it?
I really need a job so lots of detailed information would be the best
thanks :DFirst job etiquette?
Ok, since your looking at these places... they usually are the ones who mostly hire "first time jobbers".
You dont need a resume, act friendly, you can dress in casual clothes to the interview, be nice and courteous.
Be prepared to tell them a little about yourself... they usually ask that first. McDonalds gives you a little customer service quiz .... which is basically common sense questions (like "If a customer ordered a double cheeseburger and received a single cheeseburger... would you A) Refund Them B) Tell Them You Cant Exchange It C) Get Them The Correct Order %26amp; Throw Away The Mistake Burger....)
Its simple, and your first day is all training... usually paperwork, videos, etc and then the 2nd day is hands-on training with a trainer.First job etiquette?
First Job? Fill out the application at the place you are applying at. No need for a resume. Dress nice. Nice and comfortable.Be polite and be yourself.First job etiquette?
Since its really hot wear capris and flats. and a nice conservative shirt. Dont have your boobs haning out!
Questions they might ask:
Are you available to work anytime? if not, what days/times will you not be able to work and why? (they wont hire you if you say u can work nights and weekends)
Do you have a dependable way to get to work? (a car or parents driving you)
Have you ever worked in a place like this before? If so, where?
Why do you want to work for us?
The places your applying at dont require a resume, you should just go in and ask for an application and then when you bring it back staple your resume to the back of it.
Good luckFirst job etiquette?
Wellll....:) First off, make sure your application is neat and everything is filled in correctly. If you have a neat and well-written resume...sure you can hand it in...it'll probably impress the employer that you took the time to make one. Make sure, if you have any experience that pertains to the job your applying at, to really emphasize that on the resume.
Interviews....can't help ya too much :p I'm on my second job and i didn't have an interview for either one (thank goodness!) The one interview I went to, I didn't get that job so...I'm not a good one to advise :) I always hear that you should sit alert in your seat but not stiff...ask your own questions...answer their questions detailed but don't ramble on about odd stuff....be interested in what their saying and in the job...be confident but not cocky...etc....and just wear something neat and maybe similar to what the other employees wear at that particular job...most jobs specify what you should wear or at least give you guidelines so I wouldn't worry about that and if they don't tell you...you can ask them! :) Anyways, good luck!

Applying for a job im 16?
Never had a job before im 16 and have a few ?'s
1. D0 i just walk in and ask for a application
what place would hire me (these places i would apply to)
cvs
walgreens
KFC
mcdonalds
tacobell
subwayApplying for a job im 16?
Walk into the store and say "Can I apply for a job here" they will either tell you we arn't looking sorry or they will give you a application.
I don't see why any of those places you listed shouldn't hire you, as long as you don't have like really bad acne, or sloppy clothing, or alot of facial peircings most any fast food place should hire.Applying for a job im 16?
Call and ask if they are even hiring before you go in that way you save yourself the trip if they arent.
IF they are just go right on in and fill out your app!
most fast food restaurants should hire you.Applying for a job im 16?
same here
u should try at jewelsApplying for a job im 16?
Yup, any of those would be great. Just ask "Are you hiring?" and if they say no, say thank you and leave. If they offer you an app anyway, take it and fill it out because they'll probably call you eventually.
yes u just walk in ask if their hiring an for a APP
mcdonalds prolly would at 16
subway might at 16
taco bell prolly would at 16
kfc maybe
but i doubt that cvs and walgreens will hire a 16 yearold
what you need to do it go to these places and ask ppl on here cant tell u if they will hire bc its different at most places Hope this helps

Just curious. why aren't i being called back for an interview? this will be my first job.?
I am applying for my first job. my mom is helping with applying to jobs. when i fill out paper applications i just hand into the person in the cashier that's what my mom says to do. i have filled out about ten online application including starbucks, mcdonalds, in and out, and subway. i have volunteer experience i have volunteered with the library and i have good grades. i am also in my schools fashion club. i am honest, understanding, willing to learn, i'm rarely late, and i'm a hard worker. people say i am good at writing. i am may not be the best at math but i know basic math and i am in algebra 2. i have to admit i'm a little shy. i don't know many people who can get me a job or know someone who is hiring teens. iJust curious. why aren't i being called back for an interview? this will be my first job.?
The BEST thing to do when turning in apps, Is to ask for the manager, and hand it in directly to the manager, Talk to them for a minute if there not busy, Let them know this is your first job, and your excited to start working. Don't be shy, They have been in your same situation. Never Turn in apps around Lunch time, They will be to busy to even care that you are handing in one. Also Employers LOVE people who are looking for there first jobs, It means they have No "BAD HABITS" and they can Mold you into there perfect employee, They can train you exactly how you are correctly supposed to be trained, without you coming off with "well at McDees, We did this", Employers hate that. So They Love it when they get a first time jobber! GL with your Search!Just curious. why aren't i being called back for an interview? this will be my first job.?
Same thing happend to me, the only place that ever gave me an interview was the one I actually called back, so you are gonna have to cakk the place back a few days after turning in your app and ask about itJust curious. why aren't i being called back for an interview? this will be my first job.?

What are re-employment papers?
i went into subway where i used to work at 5 years ago to turn in a job application. the manager still remembers me and said, 'ill call you on tuesday and you come in to fill out re-employment papers' what does that mean? What are re-employment papers?
It sounds like a special 'application' you need to complete you've already worked there as opposed to being a totally new applicant.. Doesn't sound like anything to worry about.

First job?
I just sent in an application for the first time in my life...to subway
I don't know what's going to be expected of me or anything...
What should I be ready for?First job?
In the interview, be prepared to dress nicely, khakis and nice shirt. Expect to stress your reliability and people skills, honesty. They will ask you questions like why you want the job. What you would do in certain situations like employee theft and angry customers.
When you get the job they will expect you to show up on time for work, be a team player and not call in frequently. They will expect you to realistically manage your job and school. They are really insistant on pleasing customers. They will expect you to have a realistic availability and work most weekends. they will expect you to follow guidlines of sandwich making and save food costs. They will expect you to follow managment direction and work well with your coworkers. They will expect you to not freak out when you get feedback on how you do your job and be ready to learn.
Don't go in there thinking these jobs are mindless and easy. This is a place were you will learn alot about how to be an employee. They realize this job is not a career, but without jobs like these to start off you would never learn the basics that will help you later. Don't get discouraged if they don't call you back or you dont get the job. There are lots of places that rely on first time workers: Other food, retail. So keep trying no matter what. Remember If you get this job,Even if it sucks, try to stick around for at least a year. Even now you need to start building a reliable work history. I worked at a pizza place for 3 years in HS, mostly just 10hrs a week. In college I am able to secure better jobs because I had a history of steady employment.First job?
Just remember to smile a lot. :)First job?
You will catch on quick, those types of jobs are mindless and easy!First job?
It's a normal feeling for first timers
Just relax because working in Subway is a very easy job, it's only like your working at home

(ten points) getting my first job?
so im turning turning sixteen in three months when many places will be hiring. i live in a small town so all we really have is sonic subway McDonald's, convenient etc. so is it possible to put an application in three months in advance before you even get an interview(ten points) getting my first job?
sure put one in and then put a start date in for 3 mo later and you will be on the top of the pile(ten points) getting my first job?
Im sixteen as well and hope this week to start doing odd jobs for a PR firm.
I suggest asking around for unwanted work and offering services for a low price. Ironically, jobs are super available for teens in an econimically constraining situation. We can get by with less with no family to support.
Ask around at stores or offer yard work door to door. You could ask people if their houses need cleaning.
Try and think of something that you're naturally good at and use that as an advantage: if you are a skilled organizer, perhaps you could offer to organize closets or something.
I was also very intense like you previous days, and I started searching online to make some money but i was not having very good results then after a struggle of a week i reached a placeIt has lots of jobs to choose from and was amazingly satisfying my needs of daily spending and I was making more then 700$/month for free without any investment and I know how it feels to have 700$ in hands. (So, Good luck and have nice earnings there.)
http://youronlinejobs.com(ten points) getting my first job?
If you are applying at a fast food place no, but if you plan on applying at a store or a nicer restaurant I would say it is totally fine. I work at a bagel shop and put an application in 3 months before I was hired.
You need to wait until you're 16 actually :\
McDonald's hires at 15, but other places are strictly 16. Try McDonald's for now and maybe even a grocery store. Then when you turn 16 go apply at other places.(ten points) getting my first job?
Its not really something you should do. Just wait till you turn sixteen otherwise they'll lose the application or throw it away.
yes- just let them know when you will be interested in starting, sometimes with fast food places it takes that long anyway- if not just wait until your 16- a lot of places will be hriing then and not now anyway
I guess so. My brother got a job at safeway last summer, i dont remember him having an application tho.
usually applying to those types of places they'll call you within 1-3 weeks.
there's usually a section saying "earliest day available for work" which you can fill in if you don't want to work right away.
For fast food jobs, it probably isn't necessary. Go in a couple weeks in advance, and you'll be fine.
yea go for it, but where it says age write 15 but 16 in three months.
See if you could get a job at a local business
You have to calll and follow up with your app.

Ok, that's easy. Look up resumes on the computer. You will get samples. Also, try the library on how to write resumes. I know how to do a resume, however, it would be way to hard to explain. Depending on how many jobs that you have had putting all jobs on an application depends. It would be good if you have at least a whole year at a job. If not, fine. But don't put too many jobs down with only 3-4 months here and there. It will sound like you are not reliable. Also, not alot of gaps between jobs. How do I make a good r茅sum茅?
If you go on the internet you can see examples of good resumes. That should get you started with a new resume. Good Luck :)

How should I follow up on my applications?
So I applied to many places two days ago, to Rite Aid, Souplantation, carls jr, del taco, mcdonalds, subway, panda express, taco bell, pollo loco, wendy's, blenders, etc.
and i wrote all the numbers on a notebook, so I could keep track of the places, How do I follow up on an application, and how long should I wait till I give them a phone call???
please and thank youHow should I follow up on my applications?
Ask for the hiring manager and see about giving you an updateHow should I follow up on my applications?
Were they actually hiring? That might make a difference. If they were, 3-4 days is OK to call and ask to speak to the manager about how the hiring process is coming along.
Have you tried www.snagajob.com? You can see who's hiring and apply online for a bunch of places there. Make sure you have a computerized version of your resume though as some might want you to upload it. If not, make one.
Good luck I hope you find something soon!

Please, anyone experienced with filling out job applications? 10 points to best answer.?
So here's the thing. I'm 18 and I've only had 2 jobs my whole life. Waitress 2 years at a retirement home and half a year as a lab assistant. I've never had to interview for my jobs. Family friends hired me simply because they know I'm a hard worker and fast learner.
In my area, they are having WALK-IN interviews for 5 hours tomorrow (they are in need of staff) Well, I got an application and I know it's pathetic but... I always seem to say the wrong thing. Or not what they want to hear.
1. Could someone give me 3 examples of "qualities that will make you successful at Qdoba"
And
2. "Why are you interested in working at Qdoba?"
Qdoba is a "fast food" Mexican Grill. Similar to Subway having a serving line where they go down the counter asking you what you want. Please, anyone experienced with filling out job applications? 10 points to best answer.?
Just be honest and don't over-think it. It's Qdoba, after all, and you could just apply at one of the dozens of other restaraunts that I imagine are in the area if you don't get hired there. Try to think of it as YOU interviewing THEM.
Anyway, you already mentioned some of the qualities that would make you a good worker in the preface to your question. Just mention real, specific things that you did as a lab assistant and waitress, and don't generalize (i.e. "I feel that I have the qualities of a good worker that lead to success," etc.). A lot of your competition won't be half as articulate as you, so use that your advantage.
You'll do fine.

How do I ask for job applications?
I'm thinking of applying to diners, and the Bakery dept at grocery stores, and places like that. Maybe Subway. I would apply at better places like Outback Steakhouse and Hoss's, but the nearest one of those is like 18 miles away and I can't afford the gas. (i live in a very rural area).
Well anyway, If I go into those places how do I ask for applications. And do I need to wear nice clothes for that?
How soon should I expect them to call me for an interview, and are they likely to want me to do the interview right away when I hand they application in?
I've had 2 semesters of culinary art's school, so should I make a resume?
Hmm, I've never applied for jobs before. And I'm one of those people that freaks out and get's really nervous (I worry about every single little detail) over stuff like this, so i'm really worried. How do I ask for job applications?
The first suggestion I have would be that you prepare and present yourself for the possibility that they may indeed interview you at the time of application. Even if they don't interview you at the time, they still may evaluate, based on your appearance and presentation, wether or not to even interview you. I've worked in places where the manager, or assistant manager, threw someone's application directly in the trash because the applicant's choice in clothing or demeaner was so poor. Also, bring a resume with you, and any written references, and attach them to the application. I've called several jobs checking on my applications, and the managers remembered me being "the one with the resume". Make small talk with the employee who hands you the application. Then, ask for a manager to hand the app to directly. If they are not present, then ask when one will be and wait until then. Good luck! How do I ask for job applications?
Yes, write a resume....it will help you fill out job applications that will be handed to you when you ask for them. You need to dress like you are walking in for an interview when you go and ask for the application. Impressions are made about you immediately. Most places as you describe, do not have applications on-line. You will have to visit them face-to-face. Take your resumes, as if they are not hiring they might not give you an application, but you can always leave a resume for future use by them. Good luck! How do I ask for job applications?
Plain and simple... walk up to the store manager and ask if they will need openings anytime soon. If so, ask for an application and tell him/her that you greatly appreciate it.How do I ask for job applications?
resumes are good to have also good recommendations........

I need this job soooo bad. please help!!!Passing a career test?

Do you think I would get hired?
I quit my job recently at Subway, because of personal reasons. I am wanting to put in applications at other subways, but I did not want to give a two week notice. If I used them as a refrence do you think that they would call the other subway first? I know thta most managers of subways know each other and chit chat, but i'm just willing to take the chance. I had a friend that got fired at a Subway, and then came work at the one I recently worked at. I just want someone elses point of view. Please no rude comments, it will be greatly appreciated.Do you think I would get hired?
Depends how valuable you are. It's not nice that you didn't give notice, so don't count on it, but it doesn't have to mean a fatal mistake. Depends how hard it is to find a good employee.Do you think I would get hired?
I agree with the first poster. Besides that, what have you got to lose? I say go for it!arizona weather

Beginning to get discouraged. Do you think I'll get this job?
I applied for a job at Subway back in August. I gave my application to the shift manager, and she advised me to keep checking in because a new restaurant was opening in October.
A couple weeks later I checked in, but the shift manager had stepped out for about an hour. I left my name and phone number with an employee.
Two weeks after that, I went in again. The shift manager was there this time, and she seemed very pleased with me for checking in. She told me no one else had been checking in with her. She told me she would forward my name to the hiring manager, and I let her know that I was looking for either full or part-time work and had open availability. (I had originally applied for part-time night and weekend work.)
It's been two weeks and a day since then and I haven't gotten a call from them. Should I check in again? Do you think I'll get this job? Is there such a thing as checking in too often?
I'm just tired of waiting and getting a little discouraged. I've filled out 35+ applications since May and have only got calls back from two, and both of those fell through. My bills are piling up. It would be great to hear other opinions.Beginning to get discouraged. Do you think I'll get this job?
I know how it is trying to find employment. But keep this in mind - by you being persistent, you're at least showing them you're interested in the job. Employers like that. Just keep at it, but also keep an eye on other jobs too.
Good luck!Beginning to get discouraged. Do you think I'll get this job?
Stop in or call tomorrow when they open up. Dont give up!!!!

CV help please?
I am 16 and applying for my first job鈥t subway, i went in and asked for a application form and they said just to hand my CV in - what sort of things should i put in my cv and anything else i should know .. thanksCV help please?
We call them resume's in the US, and I believe most of the people who frequent this website are Americans. I'm guessing that few know what a CV is. If you want an answer from an American, I would post the question again as a resume question. Also, there are many websites available that tell you how to make one, as well as books in the library. Hope that helps you a bit.

Is this a wrongful termination?
I have worked at a Subway since August of 2010. In the same building, there is an ice cream shop. The ice cream shop is owned by the same person, but it is non-franchise and not in any way related to Subway beyond having the same owner. In the past, the owner has had people from the ice cream shop come over and help out the Subway employees when we get really busy. They do prep work in the back, and he does not want anyone in non-Subway apparel in the front of the shop. He recently demanded that us (Subway employees), be trained on the operations of the ice cream shop and that we go over there to work when needed. A coworker and myself expressed disdain for this. We applied for positions at Subway. It was never anywhere on our application, nor in our orientation/training that we would have to work in the ice cream shop. We feel that we should not be asked to work to help out the ice cream shop as part of our Subway employment.
Today, both of us received calls informing us that our services will no longer be needed. There was absolutely no reason given to us for our termination. I have been employed there for six months, and him longer than that. I have NEVER been written up for anything. I have only called off one day when I woke up sick and vomiting. Otherwise, I have made it to every scheduled shift without being late. I even received a raise in my first week there because of my job performance.
Is this termination legal? Can he make it a part of my Subway employment to work at his ice cream shop? Does that violate any laws, or Subway franchising agreements? It is while I would be on the Subway payroll, and scheduled for Subway that he was asking us to go over there. Can I be let go without any cause or reason given to me? What are my options? Does this violate "public policy" that I am being axed for feeling it is morally wrong to be required to work for another venue while on Subway's payroll as a condition of my employment as it was never stated in the hiring process that would be required?
Thank you very much for any help provided. And I'm not sure if it matters, but there are about 12-15 employees in the organization. Is this a wrongful termination?
I would find out who the Regional Manager of Subway is and send that person a fax letter saying exactly what you have said here. You will have to do some research on the internet to find the Regional Office, but if you really feel strongly about this, it will be worth your time. Your being fired may not be against the law, but i can guaranty you that Subway will not be happy about the sharing of non-Subway employees. Your ex-boss can get in a lot of trouble for this mess.Is this a wrongful termination?
If you are in the United States you can be fired for any reason whatsoever. I'm not familiar with Subway's franchise agreements are like so I would suggest you contact their corporate HR office and see what they have to say about things. Other than that you have no real options. Is this a wrongful termination?
As long as he is paying you for all hours worked, he can ask you to pick up the trash even though it's not in your JOB DESCRIPTION! You were insubordinate by "expressing your disdain" to your boss over the new duties.
You were not wrongfully terminated, you were terminated for refusing to do the task assigned to you. And unfortunately for you, if the owner of the shop contests your unemployment claim, you may very well be out of luck getting unemployment!
Next time, keep your disdain to yourself and do the job you are asked to do. It really doesn't matter if something is in writing or if you were "hired for that" to begin with. Job duties can change with or without notice.
I'm sure you don't like that answer, but look at it this way...chalk one up for experience! Is this a wrongful termination?
Did you have a contract ?
If so and it stated that you may be required to work in other areas if required and you refused, this can be grounds for dismissal as you are breaching the contract. If not, it was still made clear it was a requirement of staff to be trained in the ice cream shop. Most employers want their work force to be diverse.
You would have been better off compromising with your boss and if the others do the same, he will have no problem hiring new staff in the present economy.
You have been there six months and do not qualify for tribunal regulations of 12 months.
unless you have written contract thats specifys what you do and where you work there is no wrongful termination. as he is the owner he can work you where ever he wants as long as you are paid correctly. you should be aware of the laws before you say you will not do something or it is not my job description. Look up at will employment so you are better informed for the future

You did a great job!
Now, follow up. Call and ask to speak with that person by name. Say that you really enjoyed meeting her, and that you're checking your application status because Subway is your first choice. Reiterate that you can begin working at her convenience. Tell her you hope she has a wonderful weekend and thank her.
If she's not available, leave a message with your name and phone number, at least saying that you're checking in about the position.
Keep checking in every couple of days if you're brushed off. If they know you're a motivated worker, it'll give you an edge.
Hope you get it! Good luck! What Are The Chances Of Getting The Job?
You did exactly right. I would say you have a reasonably good chance of getting the job if there is nothing in your background that would prevent it.

I have a pplied to multiple jobs in my area at places like shaws, FYE, and subway. Many of the applications asked if i would be willing to submit a drug test. What kind of test will they most likely administer? Urine? blood? hair? does anyone have any knowledge of employer drug testing?Employer Drug Testing?
In most jobs they only have you do a urine test because blood, and hair are more costly also usually it is the standard 5 drug screening.
Now if you are applying for a job at a hospitial or with the law enforcement then they may go food blood because drugs stay in blood longer and they do a more extensive test.
Just be sure to be clean before you have to go for the drug test and you will be fine because most places now a days have a way to see if you have taken anything to clear up your urine. But most likely at the places you have applied for they wont look for that unless they are given a reason to. and some products that say they remove drugs from your urine have a time window so be careful if you buy one and some of them cause your urine to turn funny colors or have a very bad oder so be carefulEmployer Drug Testing?
Most likely it will be a urine test.If you refuse it gives them all the reason they need not to hire you.

How many hours should i work?
Im 17 and im applying to target, kmart, and subway. I want to work 4 hours on mon, tues, and fri, and just 3 hours on wed and thurs. And then i would work around 5 maybe 6 hours on sat, nothing on sun. This would be 23,24 hours a week for part time. Is this enough hours for me to work? Because my friend said he works at kmart everyday from 4-10, except on wed(hes off) and then 5 hours on sat. Thats 30 hours. So basically my question is, is 24 hours part time for 16 yr old too little for a company like subway to even look at my application? WOuld they need someone to work more hours? How many hours should i work?
First of all, no one will hire you with a specific availability like that. Those places have certain shifts they need to fix. No availability on Sunday will also not help you get a job!
Next, depending on the state you live in you may not be able to work that many hours. In Michigan you could work a maximum of 18.

How to get my first job?
I am a 17 year old and I've never had a job before and not really sure how to get one. Vacation is coming up and I might as well make the most out of my time. I'm kinda shy so I mainly apply to places online like Old Navy, AMC, target, sears, etc. but no calls back. I'm planning on going in person this time, to Subway! I already printed out the application. Do I just go into a subway and say "Any job openings?" What happens if they don't call me, Do I call them? How to get my first job?
hahah. same with me, kid.
i'm almost 18, never had a job.
looking though.
they really do prefer it if you go in person, because then they can gauge what kind of person you are, get a first impression. they're not usually too bad about that, as long as you're polite, you're fine.
i usually just go in and say something like "I was wondering if you need anybody to work" or "I was wondering if there are any job vacancies."
OR, if they have a "staff wanted" sign, i just go and say that i saw it, and that i am interested. then they usually ask if you have a resume/CV.
what also really helps is a written reference from a school or organisation you belong to, or did previously (you know, the kind that says nice stuff about you)
i found that the only places i got callbacks from were the places i gave a copy of my school testimonial.
they really help.
i wish you luck, fellow jobless bum :)
also, answer my question if you have time?:

I'm sure you'll get called back, by one of these places eventually. Don't just go to a store and ask if they have jobs availible though, If they were hiring they would probable get a sign or something. Just in case one of these places doesn't call you back, The Mall is always the best place to look. There is a lot of stores there, and I'm sure at least one will have a job opening.
If you want you can also go to on google and type in something like "job openings in...." I wish you the best of luck.
Go in and ask for a manager. Then ask them if they are hiring, if they say yes give them the application. If they say no ask them if you can turn it in for any future openings. Dress semi-nice, Jeans and a nice tee shirt maybe. And if i were you i would apply at target again, Ive worked there for 4 years, and it's a pretty sweet job.How to get my first job?
look for the job you want be positive and get it..how ever there is something i have leaned in life about( jobs, work,) the first is not your last. because you always want and need to earn more. and every job is a new experience and with them comes more knowledge.to better your self you may need some college. along the way you will also find your self in the school of hard knocks its really a great school . and it cost nothing put some pride its not mandatory but i found most of us have attended oh and (be careful of how you think your friends are) on the job..,i wish your life the best. good hunting !
No! Subway is setting your standards too low. Subway is like saying "I'm not good enough for those other jobs, I'll just make sandwiches". Don't resign yourself to that fate! You might want to make sure you come across as an individual. Don't try to sound like somebody, or sound a certain way.How to get my first job?
when you go in ask to speak with the manager, and ask them if they are hiring and hand them your resume, some places may want you to fill out an application, even if they aren't hiring they will nine times out of ten take your resume.
just go to the mall and make a big circle around the malls to all the stores and ask for applications, find a quite table and fill them out then return them, this almost always workds
McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts... They're always hiring.
Have you thought about trying hostessing/waitressing at all?

Mcdonalds

Ask for an Application at the customer service area or from the restaurant manager. You can also ask some of the clerks/workers. The company will set the rules and hours. You will find those things out after they call you.
They probably need workers on the week-end. If they accept you, then you can negotiate a little about work-hours.

I went in to fill out the application on there PC's and with'in 24hours they called me back asking for a interview wondering if i can work at the food court since i worked at subway. So my interview is tomower but they told me to come in and fill out some more questions on there PC's so i did and there was about 20 questions and every 2 were the same question and i was like thats weird and my friend was rushing me since we had to go. And the 1st question would be like "If you saw someone stealing what would be the best anwser" and it was longer then that but they would have a list of Anwsers. So i picked the best anwser. Then that same question would be next but it would be the same words in a 4 sentence paragragh besides the last word which was worst so i had to fill out the best and worst. But insteed i put the 2nd best 1 for each anwser. And they did keep track of your time. I'm just wondering if this is gonna effect me alot. 16 year old applyed at target. Wondering about something

What should I do at this point of getting a job?
I was supposed to get a job at Subway. I turned in the application. I went in for an interview, it went well, I filled out all the paperwork, etc. I got my job permit and everything, the manager told me that everything was set, and he would give me a call when I could start working. He told me this on Monday, and he said that he would call me FOR SURE by Tuesday afternoon. It's wednesday and he still hasn't called me. Do you think I should go and talk to him, or do you think that he's not going to give me the job? What should I do at this point of getting a job?
I would ring him.
I lost out on a job once because someone had written my phone number down wrong.

Jobs for 14 year olds in Ontario?
Hi, I'm 14, turning 15 in October, and I have been looking for a part-time job. I've applied at McDonalds and Tim Hortons already, but I'm wondering where else I can apply. I looked at Subway, but it said on the online application I had to be 16. Are there any other places in Ontario that hire at 14? Thanks :)Jobs for 14 year olds in Ontario?

on june 19th i handed my application and resume to subway. i called them on june 23 to check my status. i asked if they had looked at my apllication and resume...the girl i talked to remembered me when i handed it in and she even said shell put stars on my stuff and said she thought i was a sweetie...lol....but anyways she said that subway was still recruiting people and asked for my number and name and said that theyll call if theres anything new.
how long would i have to wait until they call me?
its already july 1st....should i call agian to check my status and if so...what do i say?
do you think i still have a chance to get a job?!Job follow up??????!!!!?
I would put my application in to several places. There is no guarantee you will even get a call. If you want to work for Subway you could put your application in at several locations as most places hire from store to store. Good Luck!

Does this answer sound good?
I am applying for a job at subway resturant.
A question on the application is "what do you consider to be the most important qualifications of a subway sandwich shop employee?" I am going to put down: A positive and motivated attitude, social skills, math skills, manners, reliability, attention to detail, a smile....what else? Does it sound o.k how it is? Should I change something? This would be my first job and I really need it! Any advise welcome. Thanks.Does this answer sound good?
trust, responsibility, reliablity, creativity, self controll, respect, focus, willing, friendlyness, proper hygeneDoes this answer sound good?
Meh.it could be better.
Edit:I think you also add that a subway employee need good hygiene and a positive attitude on life!
Edit:Also you need to add I have experience with making food and I have great endurance. :)
Yup those sound like the perfect cliched answers to put on an application.
Just make sure you are ready to explain each of those answers in a job interview.
Good luck!Does this answer sound good?
don't forget intelligence and patience!
Sounds good to me...but i guess you can take the math skills out. It doesnt flow with the rest unless you are going to add something else to compliment it.Does this answer sound good?
Your only applying at subway not too be the presidents right hand man.
Put this
The most important qualifications are:
Bread buttering, ham placing, gherkin putting and drink pouring sir.
Im not sure that math skill apply...but ya its a great answer! Remember to follow through with that because all the employees at my local Subaway are jerks!
=P
just say you are a friendly people person... thats what the girls in my local subway are...
I'd add just one thing, the ability to work quickly, and efficiently. I'm rooting for you, you sound like you would be a model employee.
advise for the interview, try to stand out from the rest, in a good way.
tell me if you get the job, ok?

Then write to the manager and say what you have in your question; I want to work here, blah blah bal and then sign it with a contact number to get you for an interview. How to apply for a job? im not sure exactly how this would work....?

I'm a teen and I need advice on getting a job?
I'm 17, and I'd like to get a job for the summer, and maybe longer if I can manage my school work and a part-time job. Here are my questions:
1.) I would also like to volunteer at a veterinary clinic this summer, so if I got a part time job, would I be able to work several days and then have a couple of days a week off for that?
2.) If I write part time on the application, does that mean I HAVE to work 20 hours a week? Could I work more if I decided I wanted to?
3.) I have never had a job, but I've applied twice at a theatre in my town. I never got any calls from them and I'm worried no one wants to hire teens in this economy who have never had a job. Are places hiring more adults than teens?
4.) If I want to work somewhere like Subway, do I go into the store and ask for an application? Also, there are two Subways in my town. If I apply at one, do they share applications with the other Subway, or should I apply at both?
5.) How much can I expect to make? I know most places pay minimum wage, which is like 7.25-7.50, so after they taxes out taxes and everything they take from your pay how much would I make a week working part time?I'm a teen and I need advice on getting a job?
1.) yes. when you get hired your boss will talk to you about the days you work and when you will be available. Some places need people to work specific days, so if you can't you should let them now.
2.) I work part time at my job and i get 28 hours a week, so yes, you should be able too.
3.) It does look better on your application if you have worked before. I recommend calling the places and talking to the manager after you put in an application(it makes it look like you really want the job).
4.) I would apply at both subways because no all corporations are connected.
5.) Usually places start out paying minumum wage. How much they take out depends on the insurance they give you. which you eventually get back.I'm a teen and I need advice on getting a job?
Smartie - look at all the Q's here on YA and multiply that by 10,000...that is close to the # of people looking for work right now. You will be blessed to get PT work anywhere you can. Subway ( and 98% of all companies) probably accept apps online only and yes, it will be min wage unless an employer is very generous. Look at the state and cities job websites in your area for openingsI'm a teen and I need advice on getting a job?
You have a lot on your mind don't you!
I'll try to answer part of your question.
Yes, you can volunteer and work at the same time. When you get a job, you fill out your availability. You don't have to be available 7 days a week; pick 3 or 4 days you can work and then plan to work at the vet clinic the other days. Make sure you're able to work at your paying job during the weekends though; they like that, as that's when it's busiest.
Part-time means anything from 0 - 35 hours a week. It will vary from week to week, and it's up to you to communicate up to how many hours you'd be willing to work each week.
When you apply for jobs, make a follow-up call the day after, or even a few days after to express interest. Who knows; they might be impressed that you took initiative and invite you in for an interview! Try to sell yourself as it's naturally harder to get a job when you have never had one.
Apply to each location of the store or restaurant you want to work at; they don't share resumes/applications.I'm a teen and I need advice on getting a job?
Ignore all of the online things, there nothing but scams.
If you apply for a part time position that doesnt necessarily mean you can only work part time hours. Im sure if you explain then they'll give you more or less hours some days as needed.
Places are hiring more adults than younger people. All these people trying to support families need the job alot more than a teen living at home. Its good and bad. I was in your position for almost a year.
You should go in and ask for an application. A lot of places have an internet application option but employers would much rather see the person plus it shows a little more interest in the job. I would go by both places. Although if it is an application over the internet it most likely is shared with both places.
As for working part time starting off im guessing around 130 bucks or so a week when paid around minimum wage.car stereo

Follow up phone call?
I went into Subway and handed in an application yesterday, but the manager wasn't going to be in til today. The girl whom I gave it to said to call today, but I don't have a clue what to actually say :O Help?Follow up phone call?
Simply ring them up, state that you submitted your application for employment yesterday and the lady working there ask you to call today and arrange an interview. You may be directed to the manager or not, as there are so many people going for jobs these days.Follow up phone call?
Hi, my name is____, I turned in my application yesterday and the girl I gave the application to told me you wouldn't be there until today. So I was just calling to see if you had a chance to look at my application or when you would be able to let me know something?

Reference (applying for a job)?
So, I've been working in subway restaurant for about a year (part-time). I don't really like the job there, that's why I'm planning to apply working at Safeway. However, on the safeway's application form, it asks me about my previous working experience.
Should I tell them that I am currently employed? If yes, they might ask me to give them the Subway's manager phone number and ask about my performance at subway. The thing is I am afraid that he will not give good comments about me. Also, he might not like it if he knows that I am applying for a new job (keep in mind that I will quit the job if i get the job at safeway).
What do you guys think I should do?Reference (applying for a job)?
most applications ask if they can contact your employer you are with now. just put no and the reason why.Reference (applying for a job)?
It is fairly common for prospective employees to request confidentiality where their current employer is ocncerned. Most people do not want to jeopardize a job in order to get a new one.Reference (applying for a job)?
always tell your new employers your job history. They will find out sooner or later. Plus, if its a bad reference you can call your interviewer and ask them what subway said and work hard to change subways mind about it.Reference (applying for a job)?
Dont hide facts from your new employer, be honest and state the facts. If they dont want to hire you...thier loss.

What are the chances i'll get hired?
well first i have 3 applications for macdonalds, subway and a food court in this huge shopping outdoor mall thing(woodbury commons New york) im 15 and i think i'll pass the drug test
do u think ill even get an interview
i have 3 refernces on each so i think im goodWhat are the chances i'll get hired?
You'll make it! Why'd you need a job anyway? Eyeing your eye on something? Or to pay bills for your girl? What are the chances i'll get hired?
from what i've learned, a lot of it dpends on your availability--if you aren't able to work most days, it's hard to even get an interview.
for the places you've already applied, wait a week and if you haven't heard anything, call them. just ask to check the staus of you're application. if anything, it will make them remember you when the time comes to pick applications.
if you still don't get hired, look for places that have "job fairs." i'm not sure how many places do it, but i know starbucks does--you basically walk in and get an automatic interview.
good luck!
Well why do you "think" you will pass the drug test? But 3 references might not be enough for other jobs but for a food court and McDonald's that should be good. If you're looking for a better job I'd say put 3-5 references on there. And oh yeah don't forget a cover letter that might help.
Good luck man! What are the chances i'll get hired?
Not sure I applied to three stores at once before but didn't get a call from any of them not even an interview. But that depends on how you made your resume and if they are in need of any workers. You will see, when you get hired I can't really tell you.
call them after a couple days and ask if they have been able to reveiw your interview. they will probably say they havent but when they do reveiw it they will say hay this was the kid who wanted the job really bad. helps u to then get the interview. What are the chances i'll get hired?
Yeah you should... I find that they'll probobly interview anybody who seems like a good person. Then, to pass the interview, make sure you get your hair cut and talk all intelectual... it really helps them think you are a good candidate.
yeah thats pretty good for a 15 year old. just be alert and be yourself and know the guidelines when these ppl interview you.
experience wise you are good
u have many references thats good too
if they have a cut off on age limit then may be you wont be hired but if they let 15 year olds, then im sure u will get it
it depends on experience
Depends on whether or not you have a work permit, reliable transportation to the job and if they like you or not.
you 'think' you'll pass the drug test?
man, you got to satay away from the blow.
druggy.
Well, the burgers aren't going to flip themselves.
you'll most liekly get hired at mcdonalds
it depends mostly on the experience.
not alot haha
They are not allowed to drug test you
i think yuo will get the job...good luck ! x x x
you think youll pass the drug test?
yea you probably will. If you don't it's because of your age.
what do you think
i hope u get subway

How do you get from Bay Ridge, 11209 to Midwood Highschool 2839 Bedform AV, bklyn NY 11210?
HELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to do the highschool application and i want to go to midwood, but i don't know how to get there from Bay Ridge... i want to know the fastest way by subway to get there from here.. ^^ THANK YOU SoooOooo Much!!!!!!!!! How do you get from Bay Ridge, 11209 to Midwood Highschool 2839 Bedform AV, bklyn NY 11210?
According to google maps, you can take the N train to Stillwell Avenue, transfer to the Q, and then take the Q to Avenue H and walk the rest of the way. That supposedly takes 58 minutes.
Alternatively, you can take the N train to Pacific St, transfer to the 4, take the 4 to Franklin Ave, transfer to the 2 and get off at Flatbush Ave. That supposedly takes 57 minutes.
You can also type your address into the planner at trips123.com to get a better idea of how things would go. But given the two options above, I'd go for the N to the Q. Fewer transfers means fewer opportunities for the MTA to screw you over. How do you get from Bay Ridge, 11209 to Midwood Highschool 2839 Bedform AV, bklyn NY 11210?

Help with applying for a job?
Alright so two days ago i went into subway to get an application, the manager gave me one and i took it home and filled it out, and then i returned it today, when i went in the manager said she liked my upbeat personality and asked me a few questions. Then she told me to call her within 2 weeks?
Is this a good thing?
and also how long should i wait before calling, because i don't want to call to soon and annoy them, but i don't want to wait too long and make them think i don't want the job.
thanks!Help with applying for a job?
Call her in like a week. Not too soon, not too late, but I wouldn't wait the full 2 weeks to call. It is a good thing, but I'm not saying you WILL get the job, but that she/he/whatever likes you, and the fact that he/she/whatever wants you to call, is a good thing indeed. Just keep your fingers crossed.

I'm working on getting my first job?
I'm turning 16 on June 19th and that means I'm old enough to work. right now I only have 1 job application that I got off of the subway website. When should I go job hunting what should I say what papers will I need? all that stuff would be very helpful thank youI'm working on getting my first job?
Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.
I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.
Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.
What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.
Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.I'm working on getting my first job?

But just consider also if you are on centrelink?? Sometimes its worth not working and keep getting payments as they will reduce your payments as you work鈥? And being at uni might not be worth the stress
Also, Tasman meats is looking for another weekend casual鈥hink its $21 on the Sunday
i swear those are scams, the "we are hiring, bs"
i believe all they are doing is taking applications to put in their month/quarterly reports that they had received xxx numbers, etc

Help, never had a job, need one soon?
I'm 17 and I've never had a job. I've never asked anyone about the application process so...
1. Say, if I wanted to work part time (obviously) as a grocery bagger or someone who makes sandwiches at Subway. Do I need a resume?
2. Do all these entry level jobs do interviews? I heard some of them take ~ 5 mins. What kind of questions do they ask?

basically you need to dress for the job. i would say slacks and a decent button up shirt. tuck in those tails! they don't need/want resumes and you will ask for an application which you should fill out on the spot with your own pen. if you can, give it to the manager. answer the questions as close to the "center-line" as possible: basically make it sound like what your boss would want to hear as well as be truthful. you may get an interview. these usually mean you got the job. just look at them and answer their questions. LOOK THEM IN THE EYE! shake with BOTH hands and grip hard when they are finished. that's how you win an employer.Help, never had a job, need one soon?

You don't need a resume.
Sometimes there are interviews, but if you've never had a job there are really no questions to ask about prior experience. It usually just consists of going in and filling out papers and maybe watching a video or something about safety and then taking a test about the video.Help, never had a job, need one soon?
You don't need a resume for those type of entry level jobs. Just fill out the application and have a social security card with you and proof that you can get there.
They ask stuff like can youdo the job? What is the hardest thing you have had to overcome? Why do you want to work here? Do you know anybody else who works here? What are your future plans in life?
1. I don't think you need a resume and all that crap for a grocery bagger.
2. I don't think they do interviews but you of corse need to sign up on a sheet of paper and the owner or manager will do some tests to see how you do at the job.Help, never had a job, need one soon?
Pretty much anything you would ask a prospective employee.
Are you dependable? Would you be willing to come in on a day off if needed? Do you have any problems talking to people? Do you have any problems making change in a timely fashion?
You don't need a resume.
Take this suggestion and make some REAL money with it. If you can type at all or know any Word or Excel, go to temp agencies. Find a list of them near your house and hit them all up and complete all the tests as quickly as possible(as in days). Not only will you find part time stuff, it will usually pay around 2 to 3 times more than anything else out there...like fast food.
PEACE!!
You don't really need a resume, but it's always nice to have one. Look up simple resumes on google and just put good qualities about yourself. (school courses, gpa, etc...)
Not all jobs interview. If they need a spot they will hire you on the spot. But most will interview you. Make sure your posture is good and wear nice clothes. NO JEANS. Also, dont be a robot, put some personallity into your answers.
Questions they might ask are,
1. Have you worked before? When and Where? Why did u stop?
2. What is your definition of great customer service?
3. Why is great customer service important?
4. What are your hobbies?
5. Career Goals?
6. Why do you need this job? or why do you think you are best for this job?
7. Whats a memorable experience you've had?
8. How would you make a customers experience here memorable?
