What do I say to store manager when turning in a job application?

I just applied for a job at Subway and I also printed one out. I called the store and talked to the manager briefly and she said they'll set up interviews next week, but I can come in an turn it in personally later today. I just don't know what to say when I get there lol! Can anyone help... btw I'm 16What do I say to store manager when turning in a job application?
you need to find out what the rules are with knives in your area. In Idaho its 18 before you can pick up a knife in arizona its 16.What do I say to store manager when turning in a job application?
If you know the name of the manager you spoke to on the phone, I would recommend asking for them personally and giving them the application personally. Make eye contact and remind them of who you are and when you spoke. Tell them you are very interested in the position and are curious to when you could expect a call back for an interview. remind them that your contact information is on the application/resume and you are looking forward to hearing from them. Keep it short, professional and precise.

Can I lie on a job application under the referral section?

You know the section where you have to put three names, phone numbers, and how long you've known the person. Its just a job at Subway fast food place, I'm a teenager trying to make a little money. If I put family members would they know? The reason I wanna lie on my Subway application and put my family members for referrals is because I don't really have anyone to referral me that's outside family, it says "Don't include family members for referrals." Would a place like Subway know if I put family members? Would they care? ThanksCan I lie on a job application under the referral section?
If they go ahead and contact them, or see that they have all the same last night, then yes, they may care.

Just ask a couple teachers or a friend's parent if you can use them as a reference. Then save their information so you can continue to use them in the future. Can I lie on a job application under the referral section?
They probably wouldn't care unless they are looking for a valid reason to fire you down the line. If you lie on your application at all for any reason, it's grounds for immediate termination, in most states anyway. Use teachers from school or simply explain to them that you have no professional references. But if you lie and they find out it's usually grounds for termination

I went to subway last week in California and asked if they were hiring and they said yes. I turned it in last week and the manager said she would call me the next day. She hasnt called so i called yesterday to ask if she looked at my application yet and she said she didnt. What should I do if she doesn't call? I put my hours open for pretty much all day everyday so why wouldnt she call?? If you work at subway or did work then what should i do? thanks! How to get a job at subway?
Sounds like you bombed the application or the "visual inspection" when you dropped it off. Are you sure you spelled your name right on the app? Were you dressed cleanly? Do you have bad BO? Does your car have offensive political bumper stickers? Did you speak in clear english and not slang/ebonics/whatever? Do you have a bunch of stupid piercings and visible tattoos? That stuff is all job-hunting-suicide. Even more so in today's economy.

What's with the subway site for jobs?

When I search for jobs near me on the subway site, it has an application form for every single store near me, and no mention whether or not there are vacancies there. Does this mean there are vacancies at all of them, or what?

No, it just means that store is willing to accept applications through the internet.

All Subways are independently owned and operated. I doubt corporate even keeps any sort of central database about the people that work at the franchises... they definitely don't gather enough information to determine if the stores have any openings. What's with the subway site for jobs?

Ugh, I'm trying to apply for a job at subway online and did the entire 3 steps and took a long time to answer all of there questions until I got to "step four" the very LAST step that I have to do to finish my application, and answer a bunch of questions. There is just a loading button and it has been loading for about 30min-1 hour....why doesn't it let me finish my application?!!!!!!

  • Job application: is it acceptable to make references "available upon request"?

I'm applying for several jobs and many of the applications ask for references. This is for places like Taco Bell and Subway, so I was wondering if it'd be ok to write "available upon request" under the reference section. I do have people for references but I'd just prefer to let them know for sure if they'll be getting a call.

Yes! I work at Subway, its pretty cool. Try and find out when they open, and come within the first couple of days. Eager is a good thing. Also, don't give your application to some random employee. They don't care. Ask for a manager. If they aren't there, ask when they will be. And don't come at 12, it's our rush so no one will be happy about talking to you. Come in at 3 or 4. Dress casual but clean, we don't hire slobs. if he does have hypertension, he's not paying it much mind, i met him in applebees a few years back. Im sure he ate lots of other stuff while losing weight, unless he was a rich fat dude. Subway aint cheap. Aint no way im spendin $300+ dollars a month at subway.

If you just dropped in and applied, 2 weeks is a good follow-up time period. Just let them know you are still interested and ask if they need any more information. Don't push - they put the ad out and will be trying to find the best candidates. Your enthusiasm will help, but don't overdo it or it will seem fake. When is the best day to follow-up to a job application?
You got a lot of great tips already. As someone who used to be a hiring manager for a local retail store, I have a few more suggestions.

When you do call or stop in Subway, make sure it isn't when they are busy. This means avoid the breakfast, lunch, and dinner rush. For example, 2:30 might be the best time because it is in-between the lunch and dinner rush. Basically if you see a long line, go back later.

Was the job listed as being open or did you just submit your resume because you wanted to apply for Subway? If there was an actual job opening, I would call now since it has been two weeks. However, if you just submitted your application because you wanted to work at Subway, they might not having any open jobs right now. It wouldn't hurt to call or stop by, but know that in this situation it could take you weeks or even months before you get a call for an interview.

Good luck! When is the best day to follow-up to a job application?
You should have followed up with Subway a week later. That being said you should follow up as soon as possible now. The thing to remember is don't do it when they are real busy. The best times I have been told by some Subway managers is after the lunch rush so sometime around 2:00 PM or so. You will also want to confirm the hiring manager is going to be available to discuss the position. I hope this helps and wish you all the best. Good luckWhen is the best day to follow-up to a job application?
I'd follow up Tuesday. I never follow up Monday because Mondays are usually hectic, so Tuesday or Wednesday is good.

However, you applied for a company that does not close on weekends, so today would be fine.

Yes, call back but don't call over and over again or they will find you annoying. Managers do like a person who shows initiative and interest, and a follow up call would be good. If anyone works at Subway Restaurant or knows anything about it can you help me?

I'm applying for a job at Subway and I'm wondering about the shifts. How long are the shifts they offer for part time employees?

Also on the application where it lists off the days of the week what do I put there? Are those the days I will definitely work or just days I can work? And lastly If I'm available to work for 15 hours per week and I'm working for 4 days a week how long would/could my shifts be?If anyone works at Subway Restaurant or knows anything about it can you help me?
Seen it all; can't remember most of it.If anyone works at Subway Restaurant or knows anything about it can you help me?
Haha, I work at a Subway.

At the Subway where I work, you either work the "morning" lunch rush or you work at night. Or both (that's a double shift).

    Morning lunch rush shifts -

    10am to 3pm or 4pm.

    11am to 3pm or 4pm.

    Night "closing" shifts -

    4pm or 5pm to close.

If you work both of these shifts, you would be working a double shift.

Regarding the days you work, most Subways are open 7 days a week with about the same hours each day. I know employees who only work lunch, some who only work night, weekends, etc. However, since there are rarely more than 2 or 3 people working at a time (unless its a really really busy subway), the list of employees isn't very long.

Putting days you're available does not necessarily mean you will work every one of them. You will get a schedule every week showing when you are working that week. You might get 1 of your available days, you might get all of them. It depends on when they need you.

4 days a week 15 hours a week means that you might get 3 or 4 shifts. You might not get that many, and some of them may be in a double shift. If anyone works at Subway Restaurant or knows anything about it can you help me?
First thing that you need to know is that almost all of the subways are franchises and owned and operated by franchisees. What this means for you is that anything is a possible depending on the need of the Subway store owner.

Getting 3 hours shifts is possible if you want to get those hours during peak business hours for example Lunch time. Don't be disappointed if one Subway store owner says that 3 hours shifts are not possible. You can try applying at another Subway. If anyone works at Subway Restaurant or knows anything about it can you help me?
    work at mcds
Scheduling differs drastically depending on the store, time of the year, promotions, etc. It's done on a store to store basis, usually by the manager or owner.

As a manager, I must say that you are coming off as being extremely picky about your schedule, and if you put that on an application, I probably wouldn't hire you. I've got a folder full of apps that are willing to work whenever, for however long, for as little/many hours as possible.

    Some advice:

When you first start out, put down any hours you 'can' work instead of when you 'want' to work.

If you're hired, it's okay to express your preferences to the scheduler, but there should be a good amount of flexibility for the time being.

Take what they give you. They will keep your ideal schedule in mind, but if they need you and you are able to work, you probably will.

Prove that you are a valuable enough employee that deserves an accommodating schedule that will keep you happy and working there.

Once you've earned your place and have gotten to know the shifts, speak to whoever is in charge of scheduling once again and see if you can work something out.

Dress nicely, ask if the manager is available, and when you give him/her the application, say, "I'm really looking forward to working here." He/she will probably look over the application and you can also ask, "Is there anything else you need from me?" He/she will respond and you can ask when you'll hear of the decision. Be sure to thank him/her. You may not hear anything if someone else is hired, as there may be many applicants. But you can return in the the future to tell him/her you are still interested (sometimes new hires don't make it.)

What to do after turning in an application?

1.im planning on turning them in tomorrow is there anything i should ask them?

2.i call them like a week later and say what?

i have no idea what to say so please help me with that

    2 questions;; 2 answers please

THANKS(:What to do after turning in an application?
I would walk in and ask to speak to the manager. Let the manager know you want to work there and would like to leave off your application. When you go in, make sure it's a quiet time of the day. Don't go when it's busy. Be prepared for an on the spot interview. Wear you nice clothes. No studs or piercings........ DURING your interview you can ask about flexible schedules - don't do it before... You might leave a bad first impression.

Wait one week and go back in to do your follow up. Don't call. Go in person. Again, wear your nice clothes and speak to the manager. Let him/her know how much you want this job. Let that person know you have already dropped off your application. Ask if he or she might need any additional information from you.

Good luck. Be confident. And, be yourself.......What to do after turning in an application?
Alright, well hopefully I can help you. I would start with asking if they are hiring, and even if they aren't you may as well give it a shot. Personally I would ask if the schedules are flexible. Example, I work at McDonald's and whenever I want the weekend off or even a whole week off I am able to do so by writing it down 2 weeks in advance. You could call or visit the restaurant and ask to speak to a manager and say "Hi, my name is _______ and I submitted an application (whenever) and i was wondering if you received it and what the status of it is."

I may not be a big help since i only experienced this once but i hope i could help.

I applied to Subway and I got an email with an application number and two store numbers?

Do these actually mean anything, or can I track down my application with them or something? I applied online, so I don't really know the numbers of the stores I applied to (there were two).I applied to Subway and I got an email with an application number and two store numbers?
Probably the two closest stores to your zip code. Just search Subway store # and you can find where they are. Don't know how you track status of your app. :)

Waiting after turning in an application?

I recently turned in an application to a Subway near my house.

How long does it usually take for them to call me?How long should I wait before calling to check on it if they don't call?

When I call, what exactly should I say or ask, because I know if I call the restaurant I'll probably be speaking to a regular employee.

What should I do after that?

If the wait is too long, should I re-apply?Waiting after turning in an application?
Seeing as how I gave in like 15 applications 2-3 weeks ago, I was debating this myself.

I called periodically. The earliest being a week and a half afterward.

When I called I said "Good ____, I gave in my application ___ days/weeks ago and was wondering whether their was an update regarding that application. Thank you".Waiting after turning in an application?
Don't wait for them to call you. Call them within the next few days (sooner the better). When you call (or go in) ask to speak to the general manager. Usually at fast food places it's the general manager that does all the hiring. When you do get the manager on the phone, say that you recently turned in an application and would like to know when would be a good time for an interview. Only the persistent applicants get interviewed/hired.

When you got the application did they say they were taking applications or that they were indeed hiring? Fast food places are always accepting applications. If they said they're hiring odds are you'll be able to start working really soon.

Good luck!Waiting after turning in an application?
you should call back personal to speak to the interviewer , if the person incharge did not call back and this makes the second conversation more interesting.Waiting after turning in an application?

What can I write about on my cover letter for Subway?

So for english we have to write a cover letter and a resume..and print an application from some place.

Subway was the only place I knew about that had online applications that you can print out.

So i know about the format for cover letters...but I really don't know what I can put on there..do you guys have anything that will help me?? Thanks :)What can I write about on my cover letter for Subway?
    just look up "cover letters"

Punctuality, get the job done, never missed a day, honest) give examples. Sold most rewards cards, gathered most email addresses, saved the company money, etc.

I did this, and that that experience translates to (quick learner/good team player, reliable, honest, friendly, got employee of the month, etc)

That's what an employer is looking forWhat can I write about on my cover letter for Subway?
You can buy resume books at Barnes and Noble or Borders books for cover letter syllabus examples. If this is a manager position then yes you would require a professional cover letter on a resume for each or any employment position. There are samples to follow.

does anyone know the process that happens during the time he's not calling back? does he call my references and prior bosses? does he call my school? does he go through the background check?

:( i really really want to work thereHow long would it normally take a subway manager to call back for an interview after recieving an application?
If he had an opening he might have hired you on-the-spot when you walked in. He only needs a few minutes to call a reference or to review your application. At a young age you don't have an extensive work history for him to check out.

Walk back in and ask if the opening has been filled. How long would it normally take a subway manager to call back for an interview after recieving an application?
If you haven't heard from him in a week, follow-up with a phone call or stop in to the restaurant. Show him your initiative.. It sound like you already had part of an interview, so I don't see why you shouldn't follow-up. Typically the process used to be that you check references after the interview. He could waste a lot of time calling on every applicant. But if he was interested in you it is possible he was checking those. He can't officially do a background check without your permission. Best bet is to go back and ask, that you are interested and follow-up are good qualities that would show well to him.

Is it worth working for Subway for 5-6 weeks?

I handed an application to Subway for a summer job in May, but haven't heard back until now, 8-ish weeks later. I go back to school in 5 weeks where I am a full time student. I've never had a job, but would it be worth going in and interviewing? I mean, I could apply somewhere nearby my school and it's only 5 weeks so I feel it's like a waste of time. They took damn forever. Is it worth working for Subway for 5-6 weeks?
Yea. Use the money for school shopping or supplies or something. Then when school starts back, see if they can rearrange your schedule to where you can work around the school hours. Is it worth working for Subway for 5-6 weeks?
I wouldn't. In order to quit and have a reference for your work you would need to put in your two weeks notice, which would be 3 weeks into working there. It wouldn't even be long enough really for you to understand the whole job or be competent at it. And though putting in a two weeks notice would make for a better reference. Quitting after only 5 weeks would more than likely make the manager not too happy with you, thus only giving you a mediocre reference at best. If a reference is not what you are worried about, then go for it.Is it worth working for Subway for 5-6 weeks?
Why would earning five weeks of income be a waste of time? You can't tell me that you don't need the money. Just make it clear to the manager that you will be leaving to go back to school in 5 weeks. Is it worth working for Subway for 5-6 weeks?
Yes, if you want that money, why not? It's not like you'd get far with subway, working 5 weeks or 5 years. Those type of places are used to high turnover.
Maybe... you would only be getting 3 pay checks tops, cause they pay every 2 weeks. But unless you got offered another job work for subway.

Do i need to be smart in order to work at subway?

umm. I'm 16 and I wanna get get an application at subway. I'm homeschooled and not really smart.. i'm not really good with numbers so... is that guna be a big problem for me?Do i need to be smart in order to work at subway?
No subway is a franchise for godsakes, teenage idiots and old people work there. You put stuff on a sub bun, its not rocket science.

A friggin 8 year old could put a couple of veggies and meat on a bun, and type in the amount it is and the amount he gave you.Do i need to be smart in order to work at subway?
don't discount your abilities. You will do just fine if you set your mind to it.

    good luck
I was an honor student and i was intimidated with their applications. I never applied. stupid i know but yeah.Do i need to be smart in order to work at subway?
It truly depends what position you have. If you're not good with numbers, then just be the person who makes the sandwiches. Subway is not necessarily a place that you need to have an amazing resume for. If you just want a job, go for it.

Just don't be a cashier; that may not be the best choice for you.

    Good luck! :)
if you know wat all the things for teh sandwich are called adn are familiar with teh manue than youll be fineDo i need to be smart in order to work at subway?
You don't have to have a Phd to make a sandwich. Go for it. I'm sure you'll get the job.
I have worked at subway before. And although I have an extremely high iq, it is not a necessity to working there. And do not listen to the other posts about just be the one making sandwiches, cause this is not designated to one person. It is everyone's responsibility to do each job. While you may be able to get away with not handling the cash register for a long time, sooner or later you will need to. If you know or learn how to count cash back, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about... the cash register does the rest, they have signs on how to make each of the sandwiches... it's really simple
no u don;t have to be smart
you can be as dumb as a coal bucket because everyone that waited on me was.
in this day and age most stores register walk you through every step. You tell the customer how much, he gives you his cash, you type that amount in and it tells you how much to give back. easy.
No. smart enough to do the job, yes. it's a fast food restaurant.
I can't imagine that you'd have a problem. I've known people who worked at Subway who were dumb as posts.

If you really have that little confidence in your education and ability, I'd be more concerned that you'll be working at Subway (or someplace like it) for the rest of your life. Least you're getting early practice? =/
lol u r smart, you was able to type a question and u want to gain independence and get a job. = smart and independent

no you dont have to be smart, because u will be using this giant calculator called a a a ,aha a cash register lol, but i would suggest brushing up on some math skills even if you have to start with elementary math , at least u know ur weakness and u r willing to fix it.

    best of luck
no, anyone can do it your just making sandwiches. Unless you are a cashier don't worry about numbers.
Why isn't homeschooling more regulated? Ah, homeschooling at its finest.

I applied at Subway when I was 16 (of course this was 9 years ago) and they did ask a couple of math questions that you can't use a calculator for. The questions were about how to make change in case of a power outage and the cash register wasn't working. If you can't work out the problems, then you might want to consider some REAL schooling. I'm not saying all homeschooling is bad, but I think it should hold the same standards as the public school system. I mean, you can't get homeschooled and get a bachelor's degree! That should tell you something, unless you're a state certified teacher you shouldn't be teaching. But I digress.

How do I word my personal statement for a job application?

Im 16 and applying for a job at subway. It says in the application form to describe yourself in 50 words or less.

I'm polite, caring, will always be determined to give my best in anything I do, am well organised, have a positive attitude to work and life, am able to pick up new skills quickly and easily and am able to work in groups or independently.

I don't know how to arrange the these skills into easily flowing sentences. Please could anyone help me out and suggest how to start it off and order these skills. Thanks XxHow do I word my personal statement for a job application?
I'd want to be sarcastic and tell the people who wrote the application it should be 50 words or FEWER, because if one can count it, than the word FEWER is correct, not LESS. However, I wouldn't have to write a personal statement saying I'm a sarcastic English teacher. Don't make your personal statement boring. Talk about results:

I saved $__ for our park by cleaning up trash. I took a babysitting course so that I would know what to do in an emergency. When I walk my dog, I pick up dog poop even if it doesn't belong to my dog. I helped a neighbor shovel snow.

Talk about real events, not ideas.

Tips for Filling Out Online Job Applications

Print this articleOnline job applications allow you to present yourself to potential employers in the best possible light. Usually, everyone submits the application in the same format. Every applicant stands on equal footing, with an equal shot of impressing the employer. With the right approach, you can set yourself apart from others and keep yourself in the running for the interview that could land you the job you seek.

    Prepare

Gather all the personal information you need beforehand. By listing the personal information you need first, you can quickly fill out multiple online applications and increase the chances of landing the job you need. Most applications ask for contact information, such as your name, address, Social Security number and driver's license number. Most request details about your work history, including your previous employers' names, addresses, phone numbers, supervisors' names, job duties and dates you worked there. Enter this information into a document on your computer to simplify the process of filling out your online applications.

    Follow Directions

If you fail to follow an employer's directions during the application process, you give him the impression that you will not follow directions on the job either. Only apply online if the company or employer invites you to do so.

Visit the company's "about us" page to find employment information. If the employer offers the option to apply online, you can normally find it here. At a minimum, fill out the required sections completely. If the application requests a specific format for dates and other information, fill it out exactly as requested. Set yourself apart from other candidates by following all instructions to the letter.

    Take Your Time

If you rush through the application, you will likely make mistakes that remove you from consideration for the position. Read everything carefully, and type your answers slowly. Online application sometimes prevent you from going backwards, so reread each section before you submit it or move on to the next page. Remember that your online application makes your first impression, and you want to give the impression that details matter to you.

    Good Reasons

Many employers request the reason you left your previous jobs on their online applications. Express your reason for leaving each job in a positive way. Say that you left because you received an offer for a better opportunity, sought a more challenging career or something similar.

    Answer Honestly

Tell the truth about her past employment history and education. Employers can verify most of the details you supply by making phone calls or requesting your past records. Present your skills, experience and education in the best possible light, but tell the truth to give yourself the best possible chance of success.

.2.In your job search you will be asked for references and you want to be sure you have those references lined up in advance and that the references you provide enhance your chances of getting the position you want.

    Difficulty:Moderately EasyInstructions

    1

    Make a list of:

    鈥?Former employers and managers

    鈥?College professors

鈥?Family friends who have seen you in a professional setting

    鈥?Community leaders

    2

Choose references that are people who have experience working with you, and are willing to vouch for you. You want to identify individuals who can validate your experience, skills, integrity, professionalism, and team-player attitude to a potential employer.

    3

Ask each reference for permission. Make detailed notes of when you contacted each one and what each response was.

Find out from each reference what their preferred means of contact is, whether it is by personal or business phone, or if they would rather be contacted via e-mail.

i agree with the answers given for 2-4, but for 1 you definitely need to have the drawer checked before just giving out change, unless you are sure that you didnt give the correct amount the first time. whoever checks the drawer will be able to tell if you gave the correct amount of change out.

Easy! To delete the application, simply touch the app without letting go for a few seconds until all of your apps start to shake and have small crosses on their top corner. Once this happens simply touch the small cross of "Paris Metro Subway" and it will ask you if you want to delete it and then say yes. Then it should be gone.

What kind of cheese is supposed to go on the Meatball Marinara sub from Subway?

I want it to be just like the one in this picture:

    http://www.subway.com/applications/menu/鈥?/a>

What kind of cheese is that? What kind of cheese is supposed to go on the Meatball Marinara sub from Subway?
It looks to me like Provolone. Parmesan or Romano would be good, but they are hard cheeses so they'd have to be grated. Mozarella is usually shredded. Provolone is traditional for meatballs and marinara sauce, and it's sliced, so that's probably it.

But I doubt Subway would use real Provolone. More likely they'd use some tasteless industrial mass-produced cheese-like substance that they can buy in great quantities, store frozen for months, and deliver all over the world. Real cheese, good cheese, doesn't suit their business model very well. What kind of cheese is supposed to go on the Meatball Marinara sub from Subway?

Can someone help me find a job application on subway.com?

There are two ways to find and submit a job application for Subway; online and in person. Submitting an app in person is always your best bet after making contact with management and letting them know you are interested in a job with them. There is a PDF link below (see the Excellent Employment Resources on the sidebar to get it).

In today's economy, simply submitting an online application and hoping for the best is a total waste of time; you have to make some kind of contact with whatever restaurant you're hoping to work for before submitting it.Can someone help me find a job application on subway.com?

Dear you have to change your legal first name with that you usually go by. to know how to change your name in a legal way visit this page.

    http://www.lawny.org/index.php/family-self-help-140/name-change-self-help-58

Other wise you have to fill your legal first name in form as you told that there is no space for preferred name. Can i put my preffered name on a job application?
I really think you should only put your preferred name. There is definitely no reason why you can't just go ahead and live by that name you gifted yourself. Who cares if the company insures you as puddycat jones, or hercules, just so long as you are hired by your "preferred" name. It's not important on your tax forms I'm sure. You just have to make sure you get the DMV to change it to your preferred name on your drivers license too. I mean, heck, to do it right, you should just go to the social security administration and have your legal name changed to your preferred name. Thay way, when they call and ask for puddycat jones, the whole world can be on your page. I mean seriously, if you don't get the job, that just means you weren't the "preferred" candidate. Can i put my preffered name on a job application?
Put the preferred name in quotations AFTER your legal name on the application. ALWAYS use your legal name on any application.

Job applications are always hard - how should you complete them? Should you chase them up when there is no response? I suppose there's no true solution. Maybe you won't need an application, check out the resource in the box below, it shows you how to make cash from Google. I started a couple of months ago, now I earn more than my regular job!

  • How much would i make working part time at subway, mcdonalds, and fastfood place?

I'm in highschool and pregnant so I'm trying to get a job to buy baby things.I filled an application out at subway, that's pretty much the only place I want to work.so I'm wondering how much id make an hour, how many hours I might normally work, how much they would take out of the check.also if I did fill out aplications at mcdonalds or other fast food places.for the same thing too.How much would i make working part time at subway, mcdonalds, and fastfood place?
You would earn minimum wage if simply staff. If you are a District Manager then you are on a salary based pay scale. The minimum wage varies by state and is most likely around seven dollars per hour. How much would i make working part time at subway, mcdonalds, and fastfood place?
I have been working for a company called ChaCha for awhile now and it is a lot of fun. ChaCha is a text messaging service where people can text in questions about anything and it comes directly to you on your computer and you get paid for each question you answer. If you have internet access, you can start working for ChaCha as well. The great thing about working for ChaCha is that you can work around your schedule, you can work as much, or as little as you want and you can work anytime 24/7.

This is not one of those get rich quick schemes you see posted around the internet, this is an actual job where you get paid for working. You can make it your full time job, or you can make some extra money in your spare time. I make enough money each month to pay for my rent, so ChaCha has worked great for me. I know that if I can make that much each month, you probably can too.

I am pretty sure they are hiring right now, but you have to be referred by a current employee. You can apply to be a guide at http://becomeaguide.chacha.com/ and enter kylecares873@gmail.com in the referral box.
$7.25 per hour at 20 hours would equal about$145.00 take away the taxes at 22% would equal about $98.21 per week! How much would i make working part time at subway, mcdonalds, and fastfood place?
Well if you go to Wendy's you can get like $250 every 2 weeks ;D

    Good Luck.
Surely not enough for the baby and you.How much would i make working part time at subway, mcdonalds, and fastfood place?
Hope you have a plan B just in case Subway doesn't hire you.
Figure on what your minimum wage in your state is.

    Application tips (SUBWAY) please help!!?

okay im applying for my first job and i really need some help with answers

please dont try to be funny i really want this job seriously help me out :(

    Question portion

    1. A customer complains that he was short changed by you recieving only 13 cents change from 2.00 instead of 31 cents. What would you do?

    2. What do you consider to be the most important qualifications of a Subway employee?Application tips (SUBWAY) please help!!?
Breathing and walking upright!Application tips (SUBWAY) please help!!?
well its really what would you do. What does your concious tell you to do. I would not give the money back to the customer right away, but I would nicely find out what exactly happened and if the complaint is true or not. If you just hand over the extra chain, subway is going to be broke fast if the customer really got the correct chain.

An employee should be friendly, polite, on time, team worker, out going, honest, look out for the customer, enjoy and take pride in their job, and don't be negative in any way.
    1. Apologize to Him nicely as customer Satisfaction important to subway and ask him for details if applicable ! (name of person if he/she remembers) and return money shortage to him/her. Then report the situation to your supervisor if necessary ! OR call the police !! the last part is a joke !

    2. Volunteering because Subway Restaurant is all about service satisfying the customer is a top priority to employers, and as volunteering helps awaking the inside care to other people ^_^ I consider that the most important thing in an employment applicationApplication tips (SUBWAY) please help!!?
    1. Double check your count, the receipt and the change the man has. If he still disagrees with you and you need to give him the difference, make sure you alert your manager so your register doesn't come up short.

    2. Dependable, flexible, fast working, hard working, friendly, customer-focused
    1. you give him the remainder of the change and inform your supervisor on duty at the same time. usually going to get the supervisor is the most efficient way of handling a customer.

    2. cleanliness and punctuality!!!Application tips (SUBWAY) please help!!?
    1. Look at the receipt it will have what the customer gave you and what the change should be.

    2. Intelligence, honesty, and agility
    1. give them the money, cuz employers like customer service

    2. either honesty, friendliness, or efficientness.
    1) There isn't much difference in the figures, I'd just give it to him.

    2) Cleanliness is the most important thing when working with food.
I took that same thing think the important stuff like being there on time, and be very good at what you are.

    I TOOK THAT SAME APP
Pay him the difference #2 cleanliness

What do you consider to be the most important qualifications of a Subway employee?

This is for my application from for Subway. What are some good ideas to put down? What do you consider to be the most important qualifications of a Subway employee?
The employee will show up on-time and will work hard. 3rd is friendliness with customers.

That is what an interviewer is looking for.

It ok to drop application off at a Subway resturant ?

i walked over and dropped it off with a worker, i said here is my application, then i walked for the door....... is this ok that i did that ? i can't remember if the worker said wait for a manager or whatever happend around 5 pmIt ok to drop application off at a Subway resturant ?
You can always call in a day or two say, " I recently submitted an application and I would like schedule a time to interview."It ok to drop application off at a Subway resturant ?
if they are interested they will give you a call. you did fine
It is ok to do that, but it isn't the smartest. They most likely forget to give it to the manager. I used to work at a subway and BK, my coworkers just usually set it somewhere and forgot it. But the guy might of set it on the managers desk.It ok to drop application off at a Subway resturant ?
Yes that is fine. You may give them a call in a couple days and see what the status of your application.

You even could go in and ask to talk to the manager if they are hiring.

Good Luck with the job. Listen next time so you get the right details.
they will call you if interested - but next time ask to see the manager and ask if they are hiring. Make sure you are dressed neatly and handle yourself maturlelyIt ok to drop application off at a Subway resturant ?
    Its perfectly ok :]
If you are serious about getting a job here's some advice:

Check the spelling and neatness of your application. Don't spill anything on it or fold it. Fill in all the blanks or write n/a if it doesn't apply.

Don't drop off your app.......ask to speak to the manager. If the manager is unavailable ask when they will be available and come back with your application at that time.

NEVER do this during lunch (11:00-1:00) or dinner rush 5:00-7:00). The managers are too busy and it speaks volumes about where your head is at.
it's fine but if they don't call you within two weeks go there and tell them that you are there to see if anyone have looked over your application
No that's not ok. Managers like for the applicant to ask to speak to a manager, especially when they come in at a "dead time" which is when the restaurant is not very busy so the manager is able to sit down and interview the applicant. 2-4 pm is a great time to do that.

Is it bad that I gave her my job application?

I filled out a job application for Subway and when I went in yesterday to give the manager my application, the woman who works there said that she just left. So she took my job application and said she would give it to the manager.

I didn't realize until I got home that I probably should have just came in the next day to give the manager my job application in person.

Is it bad that I did this?

Will the manager not accept my application because it wasn't handed directly over to her?Is it bad that I gave her my job application?
Its not bad that you did that because most likely what happened is that associate left it right on the managers work space. So now the manager will come in and see it right on their desk. If you are a little weary call in about 3-5 days and inquire about the status of your application. Is it bad that I gave her my job application?
Maybe. I would've handed to the manager in person just in case if this employee doesn't like newbies so they crumbled it up and throw away in trash. I handed application to employees before while managers are away and they look uninterested and said in plain tone "uhh... I'll hand it to manager...". They can't be trusted!

Next time try to hand your papers to managers because it can make you to look interested and they will know what you look like than guessing and judging your handwriting and answers on the application. Is it bad that I gave her my job application?
Shes going to think you can't handle using a big person knife to cut an italian herb and cheese roll in half and be able to put the meat in because you cant give the application to the right person. Is it bad that I gave her my job application?
No, you can hand your application over to any employee, as long as they give it to the manager she will still accept it and review it.

    APPLICATION: SUBWAY eductation INFO question?

Why would they need to know about what college I go to and such? And can I lie? I put down a community tech, and that it was my first year, and that my feild of study was psychology.

Is it even possible to have your first year of college majoring in psychology?APPLICATION: SUBWAY eductation INFO question?
Why on earth wouldn't you tell the truth? What are you going to do when they ask to see your transcripts, or ask for the name of one of your teachers as a reference?

That was a really bad decision on your part. I'm seriously curious why you felt you had to tell them those lies.APPLICATION: SUBWAY eductation INFO question?
Never lie on an application. That is a great way to guarantee that you will never work there. What are you going to do when they ask for proof of enrollment? Not sure what you meant by your last question, but of course you can be a freshman and major in psychology. Any college student can tell you that.

    McDonald / Subway Job Application?!?

I am going to be 14 next month, and I am trying to get a job at either mcdonalds or subway tomorrow. Am I old enough? What job position am I most likely going to be working in? And I heard that there will be an interview, what questions are they going to ask? If you have been interviewed, Can you list as much questions asked as you can? Any tips too? Thank you!!!McDonald / Subway Job Application?!?
1st...when i was 14...and that was 12 yrs ago, u had to have a work permit to work at that age. few hrs a week, cant work after a spec. time, and not so many hrs on school days......interview for either place, common sence questions. most places under the age of 18 u are not allowed to use equipment like the slicer, but some places will still let you use it, which is a hazzard to you and them.

i would say go for subway before mcds.McDonald / Subway Job Application?!?
Bring a calculator to the subway job application. You'll need it. I don't think you can be hired at 14 anywhere in the states. You have to be 16. Just go in and ask them before getting an application. Some states might have different rules than the one I live in, but 25 years ago, you still had to be 16.

  • How long does it take to hear back from a job application?

i put in a job application at subway on the 26th of october, and i dont expect to hear anything right now, but how long does it typically take for them to contack you about coming in for an interview or whatever it is they do. I dont really know any of this stuff because this is my first time so...help is appreciated!!!How long does it take to hear back from a job application?
First you need to look at the job advertisement to see if there was a posting date. They may be receiving applications for two weeks - if you sent yours on the first day then you wont hear from them until the end date for applications has passed.

In my opinion, 2 weeks is average for your application to be processed. Once they receive it, they'll review and either invite you for an interview the following week or they'll let you know that you were unsuccessful. After your interview you can expect to hear the following week if you have been hired or not.

It's ok to call and ask them to make sure they received your application, you can then also ask when they are hoping to hold interviews or how long they will be receiving applications or when you might hear from them. Just remember to always be polite and don't call too many times (once is enough). How long does it take to hear back from a job application?
If they are interested in hiring you, they will call in a week or two. If they are NOT interested, they will NEVER call you.How long does it take to hear back from a job application?

I'm trying to sign an application for Subway but I have no experience?

Are they expecting me to graduate from college or something? While I fill this application, they say something about a career? I'm not looking for Subway to be my CAREER, I'm just looking for a job, so I can make money for college and possible move out of my parents house. Am I misinterpreting the word CAREER? Because the way they say it, it feels like they expect me to work there for good...do you know what I mean?

Also, here is another thingI'm wondering about; this is the question; what does part time, full time, seasonal mean as the position?

The reason for my question is, I don't want to make a CAREER out of this. I just want to work for a while until I'm set.I'm trying to sign an application for Subway but I have no experience?
Well I have friends who are still in high school that work at subway so you don't need to have college. Youll probably want to say part time unless you want to be working like everyday with the same hours everyday. But if you have concerns about the application you should ask them about it, they would be able to guide you better. Or you could ask a parent or guardian haha

  • How do I print out online job application from Subway?

So I finish filling out an online job application for Subway and at the bottom of the page it has an option that says view/print and submit.

I want to keep a record of the application so i click the view/print command. a window with the finished job application pops up with no print button. i click the print button from mozilla firefox and i end up with a page with a big dark square covering it, with none of job app appearing on it.

No background check for most Subway's. The owner is hesitant about hiring someone during the economic downturn. They may have to train you but only give you 15 hours per week. Then they are worried that you will quit.

If you can stand to work very few hours, tell them when you call..Subway application turned in...manager says call next day..now what?
They're probably checking references and discussing whether or not they want to hire you based on your work history, skills, etc. I doubt they're doing an in depth background check- it's Subway, not the FBI.

Subway Application question: Why do you want to work at subway?

Really if you work anywhere, of course you want to make money, but I used to work at Mr. Goodcents(For those of you who don't know, it's KIND OF like subway, only their meats aren't pre-sliced).

I love the deli work environment.

    I'm familiar with it.

And I'm already proficient at making subs.

I just can't seem to come up with the appropriate wording to answer this question. Mostly because I know it's about more than just making sandwiches. A little help? I really want to sound sincere about the job (Because I am).Subway Application question: Why do you want to work at subway?

I'm just filling out a bunch of applications for housekeeping positions right now and I'm wondering if I should put down Subway as a previous employer or not.

I only worked there for about two months before quitting, and I'm wondering if putting it down would enhance my application or ruin it. Subway is the only job I've had.

Thanks!Should I put that I worked at subway on my applications?
Certainly. Working at Subway, from experience (and as you know) is more than just making sandwiches. Your job description clearly states that you're required to do janitorial work as well as work to every customer's needs as an individual and not as a number. In housekeeping, you'll be cleaning up houses to the wanted needs of each individual, just like you'd make a sandwich at subway to each individual customer.Should I put that I worked at subway on my applications?

  • How do I turn in my job application?

I know this may sound like a dumb question but I just want to do it right. I have some Subway applications that I printed out and I'm going to give them back today. How do I give it to them and like what do I say? I've never had a job so I'm kind of new at this. Thanks I really appreciate the help. How do I turn in my job application?
Make sure it is legible handwriting, make sure you look nice (for subway you don't need a suit or dress or anything, but don't wear a t-shirt or ripped pants so you can make a good impression in case the manager is there).

Then bring your application to subway, ask to speak to a manager. Tell them you are interested, hand them your application and a resume, adn ask when you can set up an interview. (create a resume if you have not already. Look up online how to create one, and include volunteer, school activities, etc. if you are still in school and do not have work experience).

If the manager is not there, just tell someone you are intereted in applying, and ask if they can pass you application and resume on to their manager. Just remember, everyone working there also applied and went through the same process you will be going through, so try not to be nervous.

If you're going to apply to subway, should you call before you go in to turn in an application?

i know i'm probably not going to get a job anway, but what have i got to lose. so should i call before i go in? and what would be a good time of the day to go in to turn in my application? If you're going to apply to subway, should you call before you go in to turn in an application?
I work at subway. I say your best bet is to turn in your application when the place is not busy. Maybe after lunch between the times of 2-3ish. I just turned mine in and I got the position.

    Best of luck to you!!

make your decision based on how many units you are taking keep in mind that if you take 12 units you should study 24 hours a week so with this in mind, set your availability based on what hours you are most effective at studying doing work etc and make sacrifices on social life based on educational needs. i personally work best at night but am working nights so that i can attend classes earlyWhat days should I be available to work at Subway ? ... then say Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday; Monday, Wednesday, Friday after 3 (or whatever). You won't be working *every day*

I'm filling out a Subway job application, and I don't know what to put?

They're asking for references but I don't have any. I just kind of referred myself I guess. I don't think they'd want to see "self-reference," or would they?I'm filling out a Subway job application, and I don't know what to put?
In general, when looking up references, people who are beneficiaries of you getting a job would be excluded as they would most likely be biased towards giving you a glowing recommendation.

so unfortunately, citing yourself as a reference is not only inappropriate but may actually turn off potential employers.

If you have minimal or no work experience, try using your teachers or banker as a reference, of course with their permission. HTHI'm filling out a Subway job application, and I don't know what to put?
If this is your first job and your still in high school then maybe if you have done yard work for a neighbor or babysat you can ask if those people would be willing to be references. Otherwise use relatives that know your work ethic. Then if you are interviewed just be honest about this being your first "real" job.I'm filling out a Subway job application, and I don't know what to put?
Im sure they want some personal references. Maybe a couple of good friends who know your character and personality and can give you a good reference.

Have you had any kind of job before? If so, would they make a good reference?

If you have no references at all, just mark N/A in the space.I'm filling out a Subway job application, and I don't know what to put?
you could put teachers, or managers or supervisors if youve ever had an job. they just need an reference to call and ask them questions about how you manage things and dont leave anything blank even if it doent apply to u just put na on it.

You are working alone and your shift is due to be over at 6 P.M. The individual who is scheduled to begin working at 6 P.M. does not show up. What do you do ?Subway Application Question . Basic Question . Easy points .?
You have a duty to your employer. This could happen to anyone. It could be they had an accident, etc. Just call him or her if you have their number to see what happened and to let them know you are waiting for them. If they don't answer then call your supervisor. I hope you have a contact number for them. Even if you don't get a hold of anyone, make sure you stay. You don't want to leave the place unattended or lock it up. This could be bad for business.

No in fact it looks good that you are enthusiasm about working for them and if you have a resume please provide it, if you don't have a work history then a educational back ground will do nicely also dress for a interview and be polite and courteous this will Take you a long way since this will be a position in the public eye.I got an application for subway today, would it look bad if i bring it in today?
Here is a great technique I learned in college and it always lands me the job.

First of all find out who does the hiring (usually the manager) ask when they work. So find out who and when they work.

Second complete your application, attache a resume if you have one (you won't need one for Subway). Then go to the business at appropriate time.

Remember just cause the manger may work say 10 to 3pm doesn't mean you can just show up any time. As a past manager for many small business I can tell you it is not appreciated when people stop by durning the lunch rush. So come early before or after lunch.

Third. The introduction this is the part that you need to get to....Most important part!

When you go in to ask for the manger, use the first name. So go in and ask may I speak with say shirley or matt.

If you just ask for the manger the front gatekeeper (or counter person for Subway) will try to help you themselves, most the time they will just take your application and alot of times it doesn't even get turned in to management.

So if this happens politely thank them anyway but tell them you need to speak with the manger and you will wait if necessary.

And final step. The handshake, meet the manager introduce yourself, give a nice professional handshake while introducing self. Tell the manager you 'know they are busy but just wanted to drop off the application in person AND SET UP A TIME FOR AN INTERVIEW IF POSSIBLE'

Management likes to see someone who takes initiative! By introducing yourself and asking for an interview you will stand out above all the other applications just laying on his/ her desk. Also be courteous and thank them for their time.

    Best of luck,

No it would look like you want the job and are really intrested. Try giving the application to the manager because I know from experience some time the applications dont make it to management
