Company ran out of job applications?

Today I walked in to a subway store and had asked for a job application. I was told that there were no job aplications left so instead they gave me a small piece of paper to write my name, phone number and position. Would that be considered legit?Company ran out of job applications?
The Subway corporate site has a PDF of the application.

Print it out, fill it out, and turn it in to the store tomorrow...All good!

See source below for direct link - just click on the "apply today" graphic and the PDF will open.Company ran out of job applications?
Just make sure you follow up with them in the next few days to make sure they got your info. It will also show them that you are want the job and are the type of person willing to go the extra mile to get it.Company ran out of job applications?
My store hasn't carried applications on site for years. When someone asks for one, I tell they can go to subway.com and print one out, but that really, all we need is a name and phone number to set up an interview if we are hiring.

So yes, it is legitimate, we have hired many people that way.
