Applied for a job at subway?

Alright so two days ago i went into subway to get an application, the manager gave me one and i took it home and filled it out, and then i returned it today, when i went in the manager said she liked my upbeat personality and asked me a few questions. Then she told me to call her within 2 weeks?

Is this a good thing?

and also how long should i wait before calling, because i don't want to call to soon and annoy them, but i don't want to wait too long and make them think i don't want the job.

also can anyone tell me whats its like working at subway, it will be my first job

thanks!Applied for a job at subway?
WOW YOUR IN LUCK I WAS THE HEAD MANAGER FOR SUBWAY FOR 4 YEARS . The thing about subway is they run with a small crew . most of the time less than 4 people on a shift . with a limited crew there come limited positions . they may love your attitude but not have many hours open for you . you can offer to work the Saturday until hours opens up for you to get that is one of the busy days for most restaurants . and you would have one foot in the door while you waited . most definitely i would check back in a week . suggest stopping in .because if they have a line the manager will be running a position to and will be hard to talk on the phone while waiting on customer PLUS it's tough for a manager to know which person out of the hundreds they are talking to . sounds like you have a good chance just don't slack off on trying for the job. it will not annoy them trust me . I would hire some one who's come back every few days checking on the job before someone who hasn't.Applied for a job at subway?
First of all, you should always fill out the app then and there and not take it home; shows not being professional. Second, wait a maximum of one week after applying then contact the manager to see if a decision has been made, not to ask "did I get the job" There's currently 1.5 million teens looking for work so jobs are difficult to getApplied for a job at subway?
2 weeks, cause most likely all positions are all filled right now.

It's better for you if they gave you exact date to call back than "don't call us we call you" which is a euphemisms of "we don't need the likes of you".

Be more confident she did said she likes your upbeat personality, you'll get that job or you'll get that manager ;)Applied for a job at subway?
I would give it about a week and call her back. Don't wait the full 2 weeks miss your opportunity. When you talk to her remind her that she asked you to call her and inquire as to whether she is in need of new staffing at this time. Don't be so blunt as to ask 'did I get the job"- it is considered bad etiquette.

As for the other poster who insists that taking a job application home to fill it out is a bad thing- that is nonsense. If a store or restaurant is busy and you are in the way trying to fill out an application, it is actually better to fill it out elsewhere and bring it back so you aren't in the way or otherwise disrupting their business. I would add though, that you should bring back the application as soon as possible so you appear to be enthusiastic about applying for the position.
I think you should send a brief thank-you note to the person who interviewed you. Tell her you appreciate her time and that you are confident in your ability to meet Subway's goals. Emphasize the fact that you have great interpersonal skills, are good at math for handling money, and are committed to high standards of food safety. These are important factors for a job like this. Send the note out immediately and write that you will call her by the end of the week (before June 13). That way, you are making a commitment and keeping it. Good luck!
