Job application form?

I would really appreciate some help on one question which i'm having a little difficulty with.

The Q is ' Give an example of when you have suggested a new way of approaching a task.'

Just so you know, i was previously working in Subway, and a car wash. My parents also own their own business in which they use computers, run a small food shop and do auto-electricals for cars etc. Which i help with.

Hard to say without knowing exactly what you contribute to these jobs. Ideas might be:



** Improving a customer experience -- did you:

-- come up with a way to make sandwiches more efficiently?

-- ring up customers more quickly?

-- anticipate a customer need and fulfill it in advance?

** Save your parents' business money or create revenue, by:

-- Introducing a spreadsheet that helps calculate expenses better?

-- Researching accounting practices on the web?

-- Suggesting a product placement change, and revenues increased?
