so once i get the application and fill it out do i just go back and turn it in to whoever is working at the time? then do i wait for a phone call and will i have to have an interview to work at either of these places or will they just call to tell me im hired?Im 16 and plan on applying for a job at baskin robbins or subway..?
Make certain you turn it in to the manager. Be presentable and alert. Be prepared to answer questions as to why you are the person for the job. Wait two or three days for a phone call unless otherwise instructed. Call and ask for the manager that you gave the application to by name.
You may or may not have to interview and if you are truly interested in getting any job that you want, it would be good to review the many dos and don'ts of interviewing. Google interviewing tips and brush up on them before any interview.
It's not bad to work anywhere. There are easier jobs to be had, but the experience you take away from any job gets you closer to finding out what you truly want to do with your future. You're 16 and a job at such places will teach you many skills that can be utilized in your future and will get you on your way with regards to work experience.
If all you want is super easy, then you're in for a shock no matter what job you choose. Even if your job is sitting on your butt and watching television for a living, that too will become hard for you after you do it day in and day out. Don't shoot for easy my friend. Shoot for the stars.Im 16 and plan on applying for a job at baskin robbins or subway..?
Yes, once you've filled out the application, take it back to the place where you got it (the place where you're applying), and give it to someone who's working. Or you could also ask somebody who's working who might be the best person to hand it in to. I haven't personally worked at either of these places, but I'm assuming that they will give you a phone call and ask you to come down for an interview. For the interview, it would probably be best to be prepared (eg: have your resume/letters of reference with you, and be ready to answer hard questions such as "What is your biggest weskness?", etc...)
Well I hope I helped, and good luck finding a job!
God bless!!

Make sure you wash your hands, show up every day on time with a smile, and keep the place spicandspan, give that extra little something to show you're a human being and not some kind of animal who stayed up all night drunk and shows up just to get her minimum wage as if it were a prison sentence. The opportunity is to meet lots of people and learn to live in the world and get along with anyone, deal with anyone, brighten anyone's day for your benefit. Better to make someone wait a minute while you clean a mess than leave the place filthy just because it's busy, but don't forget to apologize anyway. Did I mention cleanliness? http://www.spicnspan.com/Im 16 and plan on applying for a job at baskin robbins or subway..?
Yea, that's basically what you have to do... i worked at a Cold Stone and all you have to do is hand in the application and wait for the manager to call. I don't know about Baskin Robbins but i wouldn't recommend working at a ice cream place. It's pretty bad. Subway would seem fun. BTW I'm 16 too
=) good luck!
KIM!... Try applying at a restaurant as a hostess. You do less, deal with less shitty people and you can eventually become a server. At 18-19 serving is pretty good .. for the amount of time worked to the amount of money earned. Im 16 and plan on applying for a job at baskin robbins or subway..?
I don't know but if I was you I would apply at Baskin Robbins. YUM!
maybe work both of the jobs because if you do you will earned a lot of money.
