Should I call the owner to get hired?

A subway near my house is hiring as of now, and I applied there and gave the application to the manager.



He said the Owner makes the hiring decisions and will call me if they have an opening.



So do I just wait for the owner to call me? I don't know when the owner comes in, should I call to speak to the owner to follow-up?Should I call the owner to get hired?
Patronize the place and ask if the owner is in. You shouldn't really try to get his number or call him either - that will 'shoot you down in flames', do to speak. If you don't hear back from the place in about two weeks, forget about it - you're not going to get hired.
