Hi there,

I'm not an expert, but currently most of the people who have answered/spammed this question are trying to sell you books (and claim Amazon commission) or work from home schemes.

Coincidentally if you really want to work from home, then try http://www.experienced-people.co.uk/5002鈥?/a> or http://www.businessopportunitiesandideas鈥?/a> or http://www.powerhomebiz.com/BizIdeas/biz鈥?/a> and if you are based in the UK, see http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/ for business advice.

In regard to your question about finding a job, here are some tips:

1) Improve your CV. Often a well presented CV can give you an edge over the other applicants. For some examples see: http://www.prospects.ac.uk/cms/ShowPage/鈥?/a>

Also if you run a web search there is lots of general advice available for improving your CV as well as quality advice on recruitment websites such as Monster ( http://career-advice.monster.co.uk/ ).

2) Whilst there is some debate here, I recommend always writing a covering letter, discussing what you can bring to the company, expressing your enthusiasm and highlighting the research you have done - such as looking at the company website and learning a little about the field you are applying to. Always target your applications.

3) Think creatively about where you might work. Utilise any contacts you have and look for careers in fields which are growing, despite the recession. How many other people are trying to get into Subway?

4) The job market currently is highly competitive, so don't be discouraged if you get ignored/rejections. You should expect to have to make lots of applications.

5) When you go for an interview remember that you are a valuable applicant who can offer a lot. See http://www.natives.co.uk/skijobs/intervi鈥?/a> and http://targetjobs.co.uk/general-advice/i鈥?/a>

for some tips and there is more advice available if you search for it.

Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery stores.

Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer.

Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.

I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.
